I like not having to switch colors and weave in a whole bunch of ends. It helped me as a beginner to figure out tension in my stitching. I found it helpful to pull out the yarn until the next color change so I could visually estimate how loose or tight I needed to complete the round.

I turned to amazon to purchase colorways of this yarn that my craft stores don't carry. It takes some practice to get the color rounds to end properly. Instead of redoing each round if there's extra color remaining, I find that slip stitching to the next space to use up remaining color works better than restarting or changing hook size or tension. I use a 5.5 mm hook and haven't had any problems getting my squares colors to line up. This yarn is more for experienced crocheters or someone with a lot of patience to learn how it works. Everyone has a different method to make it work up. I suggest viewing youtube videos for ideas. Each skein makes 15 squares. Good yarn for a travel bag since you only need one. After learning a method that works for you, it's pretty easy to use. The only drawback is color availability and the prices fluctuate wildly here on amazon.

At first it takes a bit to learn the tension and the right hook size. From start I had to use a larger hook until I learn the correct tension. Now I use the 5.5mm just like the directions said. Also, my own personal preference I use a 5.0 or a 4.5 on the last row to give it a tighter cleaned look. This also gives me more than a 4 inch tail to weave in at the end. If you don't mind trialing and erroring then this is right for you. I seriously have made 32 granny squares so far. I'm attempting to make my first blanket
