REDSHIFT ShockStop Suspension Seatpost for Bicycles, Shock-Absorber Bike Seat Post for Road, Gravel, Hybrid, and E-Bikes

First suspension seat post I bought was a vertical spring suspension because I thought this REDSHIFT wasn't worth the money. But it turned out it does. It effectively smooth out the uneven road. And absorbs the impact from big dent in a great manner. The adjustment system is effective and straight forward. Due to its design, it works better than vertical spring on an angle, which is the case for most of the bike. The vertical spring works well in theory but if you install it in an angle, the spring won't be as effective as being placed vertically.

Installed this seatpost on my fat tire e-bike. It's good at absorbing small shocks from uneven terrain or smaller bumps, but larger bumps it does not absorb. I was using much cheaper 30 euro "zoom" seat post and can say that redshift is just a little bit better, but overall similar performance. So not sure if it's worth the almost 10x price difference

This suspension seatpost does exactly what it should do. For my speed pedelec Stromer ST3 under normal road conditions it is a welcome and essential relief for the lower back. Every bump in the road is evened out properly. So you can stay in the saddle. I am 82 kg and after testing for 500+ km I concluded that the additional inner spring on level 3 is just right. Expensive but awesome quality which will certainly lasts for thousands of kilometers/miles..

Ik heb deze vering op de sparta e-bike (mtb model) van mijn partner en met de goede afstelling is het super comfortabel. Vergeleken met de Thudbuster ST die op m’n eigen fiets zit nog weer een forse stap omhoog in isolatie van de weg. Welke er beter is is persoonlijk, je kan met een zachte instelling wel iets vering krijgen maar dat is een instelling die aan te passen is. Zeker een aanrader, qua uiterlijk is deze met stip de mooiste (als je dat belangrijk vind)

I bought this brand because cheaper ones would upset the seat by 12cm instead of 9cm from this and I had a very low leverage on seat height adjustment.It was the best equipment I ever bought for my bike. The added comfort is amazing, it's probably as close as it gets to a rear suspension.Not only that but averaging the last 2 rides before installing and the 2 first rides after, I got (objective numbers from Strava) an 8% gain in speed and also a 12% gain in relative effort. I'm not getting up on cobbled stone streets anymore.

I enjoy every mile with it. Saves my back.

Ero scettico, sono un ciclista da anni e da qualche anno ho intrapreso la via del bikepacking in gravel. Si sa, la bici alle lunghe può esser dolorosa là sotto, se poi ci metti 150 km in un giorno, con una bici non ammortizzata, su terreni sconnessi, dopo qualche ora, ciò che diventa piacevole può facilmente tramutarsi in fastidio ed addirittura agonia.Ho voluto investire qualche soldo, certo non è il prodotto più economico in commercio, ma come si dice, chi più spende, meno spende.. e qui la qualità si sente tantissimo. Sono stato in grado di macinare più di 100 km sullo sterrato avendo l'impressione di fluttuare sull'asfalto.Grazie alle molle differenti e le varie regolazioni, si può affrontare benissimo un percorso di strada bianca o sentieri di bosco senza affaticare la schiena.Ottima ammortizzazione e anche il ritorno è favoloso, il design eccellente, non sfigura neanche un po' sulla linea della bici.L'unica cosa da stare attenti è la compatibilità delle sedi del tubo sella e delle varie selle, ma chi acquista un prodotto del genere, di solito ne sa qualcosa in più dei comuni passeggiatori da città.Sono molto tentato ad acquistare anche il suo "compagno" per ammortizzare il manubrio.. e molto probabilmente, vista la qualità, sarà una cosa che farò a breve!SOLDI SPESI BENE

I love it more than expected. It is like having a full suspension bike.Make sure to remove and measure your old seat post to order the right size.I bought it for a medium ebike, but the post I ordered was a little too short. However, I kept it because the size was right for my large Mt Bike. Then I bought a second one for my ebike.It comes with 2 springs and it has a load adjustment to provide the perfect feel. The second spring fits inside the first spring to provide less bounce or for heavier riders. The second spring requires installation, if you want to use it.I am 200 lbs and I tried it with one and two springs. I liked it better with one spring.The bottom of the post has the load adjustment. You turn the bottom cap one way or the other to adjust the load. It goes from 1 to 5 mm. I kept it in the middle and am very happy with how it rides.It was 20% off when I bought it. It was worth waiting for a sale because they are expensive for a seat post. Especially when you get more than one.

This is my 3rd order from RedShift Seatpost Suspension. Did ride with the first purchase for more then 1500Km and still keep goin without any issue. You can read more review from internet but here are my personal views base on my own experience without bias.Advantage:1) Enhance your riding experience. The suspension will soak all the small bumps and small vibration from your rear tyre.2) You will clock in more mileage due to induce fatigue.3) If you have any back pain issue and wanted to ride, this seatpost for you.4) Zero maintenance.5) Every single ride will make a big smile on your face.Disadvantage:1) Weight penalty, add more weight to your bike, around 415g for 350mm & 380g for 280mm.(Specs taken from Redshift website)2) Pedal bob effect reduced your power transfer.3) For adjustment, you need to removed the seatpost.4) Design only for circular seatpost and not for aero seatpost design.3) Expensive for single component.Hope this will help you guys for the purchase.
