This is an absolutely essential bit of kit for nursery or forest school and for outdoor activities during autumn/winter.It is insulated throughout and has soft fleece lining to the hood and back. It is not too bulky so is comfortable to wear and easy to move around in. There’s room for layers underneath but in winter, we tend to put a coat on top as well. I wouldn’t expect this to be sufficient on its own on a really freezing winter’s day. The level of waterproof protection is sufficient for being outside in rain but I think sitting in an actual puddle, you’d end up getting wet! This means that the suit still feels soft and moves easily whilst offering sufficient waterproofing for time outdoors.The hood stays up well, all the cuffs are elasticated and the zip runs the full length, down one leg. The leg cuffs will fit inside wellies and generally stay put.We’ve had a similar one before (different colour) and eventually one leg seam ripped but it had been used daily, for nearly nine months at forest school and when the children were outside for most of their day so I was satisfied that it represents very good value.I have a tall three year old girl who fits perfectly in a 36-48 months, with room to grow. I would say for the majority of children, the sizing by age will be correct.This copes really well with being machine washed and dries out quickly ready to go back in the nursery bag!

I initially bought this for my son when he was a toddler. I then jumped on and got it upto the biggest size so he would always have this puddlesuit until he's too big. I have now got it for my nephew as it was so good and lasted really well. Jumping in massive puddles and walk out dry. Warm and comfy! My son and nephew love them! Highly recommended 👌
