I got this for my wife who is a fan of hot tea and disdains people who just heat up water in a microwave as it's "not the same" as boiling water to get it piping hot. She is using it at work as there is no oven there to boil a kettle. She said she could see taking this when traveling/flying as you could get it through security, then fill with water and heat it for tea on the go. Probably not really meant to drink from as there is no lid with a spout so you really need to also have a travel mug as well or just wait for it to cool off a bit before drinking from it. The only issue is a minor one; the cord is somewhat short so you have to be mindful of hopefully having an outlet where you can set the portable kettle on a countertop or safe surface. It heats up quickly and is easy to use...basically it has one button you push to start it and that's it.

So this is a little gadget that I never knew I needed. It comes well packed, and with clear instructions. It has a soft drawstring pouch for storage or travel . It also comes with a couple of packets of citric acid for cleaning for any mineral build up from the heating of the water. And of course , a cord.The bottle itself has a handle that folds up and down for easy handling. The cup doesn't get hot to the touch outside of the cup , but does get sort of warm when u handle it immediately after heating. The fill line is easy to see, and there are 3 heating modes to choose from once you plug it in. The digital display shows you what temperature your cup is at as it heats up. It doesn't take but a few minutes for the hottest one of 212° F.I have no complaints, and I am impressed with the ease of use, ease of clean up and the portability of this product.
