This is a large box but the lid entry mechanism means that only small packages can fit through. Great if you have a large volume of letter deliveries but no good for something of the size 3x10x30cm.Further and more importantly unless you have a flat surface (such as brick) to attach the box to you will have difficult with the lid opening mechanism. I have a stone gatepost and the undulations in the stone finish meant that when fitted to the wall the box lid would not open. The less than satisfactory solutions are either to chip away the stone or to purchase extra rubber washers, screws and rawl plugs to increase the distance between the box and the wall.Whilst on the subject of fittings, this is not a cheap box but the supplied fittings (screw, washers and rawl plugs) are both small and cheap. I had to ditch the screws, washers and rawl plugs and use longer and more substantial ones. I will never understand why manufactures for the sake of saving a few pennies cannot supple decent fixtures and fittings.In addition be aware that there is no supplied template to help with the location of the holes needed to be drilled into the wall and if you make just a millimetre error in their placement then the box will warp as the metal if rather flimsy and as a result the door will no close properly.
