Uitstekende deurbelcamera met PoE – betrouwbaar, scherp beeld en eenvoudig te installerenIk heb de Reolink Video Deurbel met PoE nu enkele weken in gebruik en ben bijzonder tevreden over de prestaties. De installatie was eenvoudig, vooral omdat ik al een ethernetkabel naar de voordeur had lopen. Dankzij PoE is er maar één kabel nodig voor zowel stroom als data, wat het geheel strak en professioneel maakt zonder gedoe met extra voedingen of batterijen.

Installatie volgens handleiding ging zonder problemen. Dit is het PoE model en ik moest de kabel vanaf de meterkast vervangen voor een UTP kabel. Dat ging eenvoudiger dan verwacht.Daarna simpelweg een kwestie van de app installeren en koppelen. App zag meteen de deurbel en was zo gekoppeld.Hiervoor hadden we een Ezviz DB1. Die had vaak verbindingsproblemen (op nog geen 2m vanaf het access point), vandaar de keuze voor een bekabelde variant. PoE optie maakte het overbodig om de beltrafo te moeten vervangen.De Ezviz app was beter rondom camera inzoomen en terugkijken wie er heeft aangebeld. En de configuratieopties waren iets logischer.De Reolink app werkt op de iPhone wel sneller dan de Ezviz app, maar gebeurtenissen terugkijken is minder praktisch omdat de aanbel gebeurtenissen tussen de bewegingsdetecties staan en je eerst de filmpjes een stukje moet bekijken voordat te zien is wat de gebeurtenis was.Tenslotte heb ik ook de deurbel met Home Assistant gekoppeld. Hiervoor moest eerst de desktop app op de computer worden geïnstalleerd om de deurbel bereikbaar te kunnen maken. Koppelen ging vervolgens zonder problemen en met een simpele automatisering wordt er nu een foto van wie er voor de deur staat gemaakt en krijg ik een notificatie met die foto erbij op mijn telefoon. Dat maakt de het missende overzicht in de Reolink app van wie er allemaal voor de deur stond een stuk dragelijker.

Kwaliteit van deze PoE deurbel is prima en het werkt met de Reolink app waar mijn overige Reolink camera’s op zijn aangesloten. Waarom ik geen vijf sterren heb gegeven is omdat het beeld teveel van een fisheye effect heeft. Het neemt veel van groothoek mee wat voor mij niet echt nodig is. Ik heb liever een scherper 2k beeld gericht op kleiner stuk van de voordeur/voortuin. Verder allemaal top en software kan nog wel wat verbeteren, maar dat is voor wat betreft de Reolink app. Installatie van zowel de deurbel als de gong ging meteen goed. Daar ben ik heel blij mee, omdat ik de vorige deurbel niet aan de gong heb kunnen koppelen. Internet kabel van 1 meter is wat kort. Gong is van goede kwaliteit en hoop dat deze los te koop is om de bel op twee extra verdiepingen te horen.

absolutely fantasticclean image , even in the dark it is possible with a little light in the environment , to get good image.We record continuously via an NVR, and have a card in the doorcam that records snapshots when someone rings the doorbell or comes to the door without ringing the bell. so even a cat or dog walking by records it. you can set the sensitivity of it yourself. very handy! we are very satisfied with reolink and the other variants cameras.through the app good to follow! possible with 2 separate images in the app 1 via the NVR recording as a normal cam and 1 from the doorbell with intercom functions and the short-recordings with sd card.

Great product without Cloud dependency!

I was looking for a video doorbell without forced Cloud subscription. The Reolink Video Doorbell PoE is a great fit for my requirements; video is good, it can record motion / persons / visitors to onboard MicroSD.Latency between ringing the doorbell and getting a notification on my watch / iPhone is quite short. The notification does not contain a snapshot image, most likely because I did not buy the optional Cloud subscription.It also integrates nicely with HomeAssistant - I can create my own notifications with snapshot easily.All in all, very happy with it.

The next firmware update for this doorbell requires you to enable the P2P setting (UID)if you still want to have push messages delivered to your phone of doorbell events.There have been P2P Vulnerabilities with Reolink in the past and now they will force you to usethe Reolink peer 2 peer servers (p2p.reolink.com up to p2p10.reolink.com) for connecting to your own devices or you will no longer be able to receive push messages. Data send to these servers can include IP, port, usernames and passwords of your device. It is unknown where these p2p servers are located (probably china). Make sure to block these communications when push notifications are important.This update has already been pushed to the Reolink camera's and will silently be pushed to the doorbellin the future.

The image quality of this is nothing short of amazing. Showed it to my neighbour who just bought a Ring Doorbell and they thought this one was a lot better. There isn't a lot of scope for zooming in before things get pixelated but that's really not what a doorbell camera is for. If you want that, buy a 4K security camera. The night vision is particularly good and only uses a single red LED. I have another ReoLink camera and that has about 6 LEDs which really isn't very discrete, but this single LED is fine.I bought the PoE version of this doorbell because I really didn't want to mess about with batteries, or worry about WiFi connections and the like. I knew it would be a challenge getting the network cable there but I figured once it was done, it was done and if I wanted to swap it out for a different camera later I could. I'm very glad I went this way.Before I went to all the effort of the install I set the doorbell up just sitting on a table in the hall and it all worked really well. Setup was dead simple using the Reolink app even though I don't intend to use it long term. The chime is loud enough to wake the dead which was one of my concerns as I'm a bit of a night owl so it's not at all uncommon for the existing doorbell to wake me up. This one will easily do that, it's just a shame that it takes our last plug socket in the hall, but it was that or batteries.I put it off for about a week or more but eventually I tackled the install. It took me about 3.5 hours but 90% of that was me getting the network cable to the door. I had to go from my network switch which is under the stairs, drill through the external wall into the garage, along the wall in the garage, drill through the cladding in the front of the garage, drill through into the porch, hide it all up inside the window sill and eventually out to where the doorbell mounts on the doorframe. The cable is all nicely hidden except for one small run up the outside porch wall. The actuall doorbell install couldn't be simpler and took about 10 minutes!I particularly like that there's no monthly sub for this doorbell which honestly for what they off on those that charge this I think is just a money grab. I plug it into my network and use the software on my Synology NAS. It just works. Flawless.

Easy installation. Probably not very theft proof though, but I think one of the consumer bells are.Highly customisable, lots of settings.Video is sharp. Detection works great but some false positives, eg when raining at night. This made me disable the forced notifications.The good thing is it never misses an oncoming visitor. This is way better than the Eufy (see review there)The app is great too. You can easily check back on the detected fragments per day. Live view loads fast. You can talk back to the visitor.Linked this to my Synology and for continuous recording.The PoE is great as this means only one utp cable is needed for power and reliable connectivity.Overall I recommend this product. I hope the detection software during night (IR) will be improved.
