The image quality is good, the zoom and focus works well. The large lens works wonder in darker conditions. And there is a ton of customization options through the web interface. Integration into NVR worked flawlessly. Everything is well documented. I highly recommend it!

I've been running this security camera for two weeks now, and I have mixed feelings. If you're willing to put in the work and have the right network setup, it can be a decent budget option, but there are definitely some quirks.First, the network security concerns are real. This camera constantly tries to phone home to Chinese servers, mainly to activate the "CloudSee" site that AFAICT is not actually a fewature you can use. Under the hood this is a SUNYWO JVSWO708-PO300M2, which is actually made by Jovision, who does have a cloudee product. I strongly recommend isolating it on a separate VLAN with no internet access if you have the capability. I'm running UniFi gear, so I set up both VLAN isolation and blocked all outbound China connections. Without these protections, I wouldn't feel comfortable using this camera.The good news is that once isolated, it does work with UniFi Protect, though getting there took some trial and error. You'll need to use advanced adoption with the IP address followed by :6688 (the ONVIF port). Don't use the default admin account for ONVIF - create a new one or it may not connect. Also, I switched from H.265 to H.264 codec; otherwise, the connection drops constantly in Protect. RTSP works with admin account.What works: Video quality is decent for the price, and both main and substreams are detected properly. I can view the RTSP stream in VLC with both video and audio working fine. The camera has been stable for 24 hours with no crashes.What doesn't work: Audio refuses to work in UniFi Protect despite working in VLC. The timestamp constantly resets to 2015 even with NTP configured - I just turned off the timestamp overlay. AI detections don't work since Protect relies on camera-side processing. From what I can tell, the audio and timestamp are both issues with the camera's ONVIF feature.Some pleasant surprises: The power connector is actually a clever split design that accepts both PoE and DC power (this wasn't documented). The PoE connector has tiny status LEDs built in, which is handy. The manual optics work well with three adjustment screws for zoom and focus. THe hardware is stable and sturdyBottom line: For $30-40, this is a great camera if you have the technical skills and proper network security. The ONVIF implementation is flaky, and you'll need patience to work around its quirks. I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for plug-and-play or anyone without isolated network capabilities. But if you have proper security measures in place, it's a reasonable budget option for basic surveillance needs.Setup took me several hours due to poor documentation and trial-and-error troubleshooting. The manual is minimal, and the firmware hasn't been updated since 2021 (I checked, no new firmware as of 2025).
