Simple to use, the Swingline Heavy-Duty Staple Remover makes short work of 14 and 11 millimetre staples. Works straight out of box. My one piece of advice: for thicker documents, lever from the back first. Doing so, will avoid ripping sheets.

The Rexel Samson Staple Extractor is a heavy-dulty alternative to the simple opposed jaws style of extractor that is perfectly able to remove those such as the commonly used 26/6 and 56/6 or similar lighter staples bundling 10-15 sheets of paper. Try to remove a heavy duty staple such as the thicker and stronger type 73 bundling 50 or more sheets and the simpler tool will have met its match.This is designed for any heavy duty staple, those that may be used in upholstery or, as often reported, by educators needing to remove notices and banners from noticeboards as well as the light duty staples such as the 26/6. It may also be usable with some of the min-staples although they are not personally used. Personally, type 26/6 and various sizes of 73 staples are used in about equal proportions, the latter also in packaging where the smaller ones would be pointless. However, it has proven necessary to sometimes add pages to a stapled bundle or replace some, when it then becomes necessary to remove the previous staples; until now it has been possible only with extreme difficulty and using more than tool.The extractor has a thin triangular blade that can be inserted under most staples. An internal spring mechanism reduces the amount of effort required to straighten the folded ends and then to lift the staple when the handle is closed. It is almost effortless, clean and reliable!In short, this is the easiest staple remover to use and the most effective yet encountered.

Bought these to pull staples from my hardwood floor. Worked well. Well worth the money.
