It does prevents the bag from swaying around and holds two bottle cages, a very good product idea.However, it comes loose from the saddle after just a few hours of riding, the plate holding it to the saddle rail bends. It's a flawed design.You have to be very careful and make sure the water bottle holder bolts does not stick out on the back side, they will scratch holes in the saddle bag.

This worked perfectly. I primarily used it to carry extra water bottles on a multi-day bike packing trip on my road bike. I was able to reach the bottles and replace them while underway. I liked how it also didn't get in the way of my little tool bag under my saddle.
