Great for mounting larger cargo!

This is a great choice if you need a bracket to fit a Brompton front carrier block. So will it instantly Bromptonify your favourite bag? Read on.The bracket has been designed with care and seems sturdy. At the bottom corner the platform is 6 mm thick, for instance. It’s more substantial than I’d expected, and it’s made from glass-filled nylon as described. The supplied screws and nuts are of good quality. For build quality and quick delivery I think it’s well worth the extra cost compared to some other brackets available on Amazon.It’s a snug fit for my front carrier block, to the extent that I filed the slot just a little to make it easier to remove – better too tight than too loose. The locking mechanism works perfectly.Fitting the bracket to a canvas bag of about 9 L capacity taught me that this is only going to work well if the bag is either quite small or quite stiff – there’s a reason official Brompton bags have a rigid internal frame. I can imagine a small leather school satchel would work quite well, for instance. A bigger, floppier bag is going to collapse unless it has some kind of support plate inside, preferably fixed to the top of the bag as well as to the bracket.I added a couple of sheets of thin plywood to my canvas bag: one at the back and one on the base. They’re not connected together, and there’s no top attachment, but I’m pleased with the result. Unless your backing material is very thin, you may need longer bolts than the ones supplied.So if you have a favourite bag and don’t mind a bit of trial and error, this could be a great solution. It certainly worked for me. But think twice before punching holes in your bag and ending up with something that doesn’t work as well as you’d hoped.

Das ding passt auf meinen brompton trägerblock, sogar besser als andere produkte.Man braucht halt eine tasche die irgendwie versteift ist, aber die hab ich. :)

Good for attaching stuff to the front carrier block. Mostly use it to attach a carradice saddle bag. Could be improved if the base was more supportive/wider to better support the weight of the item/stop the bottom of bags sagging. Fortunately the carradice bag I'm using fits nicely so not an issue with that but with other stuff. I'd buy it again if it got damaged or I needed a second one for convenience of not swapping stuff over.
