The product I purchased is much better than the slightly cheaper option (cheaper option is machine only with one 8mm cable), as in addition to the machine you get a sturdy professional steel carry case, another operating cable (0ver 10 metres in length and thicker at 10mm), heavy duty operating gloves, and the tool set with all of the different cable ends and cutters. The small difference in price between the two options makes the more expensive option the best option by far.If you only need a machine for smaller household pipes I dont think there is a need to buy the bigger drain cleaning machines that can run to massively over the £1000 mark.It's hard to find a negative, if anything its a bit on the heavy side but I will get used to it, and the heaviness is a sign of how well built the drain cleaning machine is. The forward / reverse feed levers are very clever and a big plus.If you are new to these machines, please please read the instructions thoroughly before playing with your new toy. Ho il lavandino della cucina parecchio distante (6 metri circa) dal montante condominiale e le tubature, che sono vecchie e passano sotto il pavimento, hanno scarsissima pendenza e si otturano molto facilmente, col risultato che l'acqua scorre sempre peggio fino a quando risulta sostanzialmente impossibile lavare i piatti. Premetto che pulisco le stoviglie prima di risciacquarle e utilizzo sempre la classica "retina" d'acciaio per impedire che detriti come i resti di cibo entrino all'interno dello scarico. Ma non è sufficiente. Ho provato moltissime volte con lo sturalavandini liquido, ma il problema ricompariva dopo pochi giorni. Mi sono rivolto un paio di volte all'idraulico di fiducia, che sturava le tubature con l'impiego di aria compressa. Ma anche in questo caso, dopo qualche settimana l'acqua ricominciava a defluire sempre più lentamente. Esasperato, dopo varie ricerche ho deciso di optare per questa Ridgid 36043 K-45AF-5. Che dire: acquisto non azzeccato, AZZECCATISSIMO! La macchina arriva in una solida valigetta che contiene anche i guanti, un secondo cavo da 10 mm (il primo, già montato, è da 8) e una serie di punte montabili esclusivamente sul cavo da 10mm. Raccomando di leggere con la massima attenzione le istruzioni e di procurarsi un paio di occhiali DPI, perché questa sturatrice NON è un giocattolo: è estremamente potente, piuttosto pesante, e per "tenerla" bisogna metterci forza. Ma il risultato è presto detto. Dopo una prima passata, l'acqua scorreva benissimo. Dopo un paio di settimane, tuttavia, il problema si è ripresentato. Ho dato quindi una seconda passata (anche questa volta, mezz'ora scarsa di lavoro in tutto) e da allora, a distanza di più un mese, non ho più avuto alcuna difficoltà o rallentamento nel deflusso dell'acqua. E' vero, la macchina costa, e ce ne sono di apparentemente (ma solo apparentemente!) simili a un terzo del prezzo: ma la Ridgid è la Ridgid, la qualità si paga, e qui la qualità c'è TUTTA. Consentendo una pulizia regolare, con un paio di utilizzi l'avete già ripagata. Che dire: la consiglio senza alcuna esitazione, un prodotto eccezionale da prendere assolutamente con autofeed (cioè col sistema che permette l'inserimento e il richiamo del cavo in automatico).
