Instructions say one bottle for every 2 pounds of fabric. I ended up using 1 bottle for every half pound of fabric. And I had to mix in another bottle of the all purpose dye for 1 pound of fabric. Still didn't achieve the color I wanted and I started with white shirts.They call it the stove top method, but you're better off getting an outdoor propane cooker cause you need the pot at 200°F or more.I still had to do 4 sessions of 30 to 40 minutes because it's like the fabric becomes saturated and can't take on anymore dye so you have to set each layer by rinsing and drying the shirt between each session. The plastic buttons on the shift turned out fantastic, but the 65/35 Poly cotton twill fabric on the shirt never really achieved the vivid red I wanted.
