I wish I had known that these existed when I was running the coax into each room at my house. I also ran in Ethernet cabling so I already have one of those Ethernet cable testers shown in one of the advert pictures. I was able to test all my Ethernet cables successfully but I just didn't have this type of adapter in order that I could also text the coax cables. I had to do things the long way, by crimping the ends on and then seeing if I could get a video signal over them by connecting a cable TV box at one and a TV at the other end.I still have more cables to run so these little adapters are going to save me a lot of time and effort as I can screw these onto the ends of the coax patch leads and then stick the RJ45 end of the adapter into the testers at each. If you have a close look at these adapters you will see that they only use a single pair of cables - one for transmit and the other for receive, and that is all you need when testing end to end connectivity for the coax cables.There's not a lot more to say about these other than, "these just work". If you have end to end connectivity the lights on your tester corresponding to where the two wires in your adapter go, will light up on the tester. If you haven't got connectivity, then the lights just won't turn on, and it's as simple as that.An excellent product and a great time saver. Nothing to fault on this so it gets the full 5 stars from me.

Continuity testing and cable location on old CCTV installations is a bit of a pain. I have a very creative way to do this which is not what I call convenient by any measure. This little set of adapters will make the job much easier as I can use my generic ethernet cable tester to do the job with coaxial cable. As the F-Plug type connector is very generic, it’s simple to adapt to standard aerial coax plug or BNC connections as needed, and is much better than using my current method. Certainly a cheaper option than buying a dedicated unit for the job from manufacturers such as Fluke and just as effective.
