I did a complete rebuild of a 2011 Recon Silver TK Solo Air. Over the past nine years, I had not serviced the fork at all. Then I built up the courage to learn and successfully performed the 200-hour service for the first time in late 2020.Every part matched for the rebuild. A bike stand was very helpful. I recommend using the right tool for installing the dust wipers. Also, nylon picks were crucial in removing the old o-ring seals. You will also need a lot of 5w suspension oil and some 15w. Also need Rockshox butter, i.e. grease. Isopropyl alcohol to clean parts. Nitrile gloves to protect hands from chemicals. Torque wrench and 5mm bit and 24mm socket. Although the service manual does not recommend using a rubber mallet on the arch to force-remove the lower legs, I had no choice because every other technique failed. As long as you are careful, the fork will not be damaged. Be sure to find the appropriate service manual on the Rockshox website and/or Trailhead app.
