I am a 66yr old man who decided he wanted to learn to play the bass guitar I have played various acoustic and electric guitars over the years so this is a new experience for me I have watched a few videos on youtube reviewing low-priced bass guitars so I had a good idea of what to look out for when buying a cheap guitar to learn on and if it was not up to a reasonable condition I could send it back for a refund I was very surprised to find out that this guitar was very well made and the frets sat perfectly on the fingerboard and the tuning knobs are great they hold the tuning with no slippage the pickups are in the correct location and at the right hight below the strings (I would normally re-string a new guitar) as they can get damaged in transit but they are fine although the guitar itself is quite heavy it is bodie heavy and not neck heavy so it sits in the perfect position to play without any slippage of the head and after I had tuned it I was able to play it right out of the boxThis package comes with an amp instrument cable spair strings a Guitar stand a tuner a capo a carry bag and picks (they are not heavy picks as I would have expected) but picks are cheap on Amazon so that's not a problem I am very happy with this purchase its ideal for a complete novice like myselfso if I enjoy playing the bass I can purchase a more expensive one when I am more proficient.I don't know if Amazon will allow me to say this but if you are a newbie check out BassBuzz on YouTubethere you will find a very good teacher I have only had the bass for a few days but I have learned a lot from this site I have learned to play lots of basslines
