This is an excellent anchor, it actually works, unlike any I have used before. See videos on Youtube about various anchors. Its one failing is that there is not enough weight in the head to ensure deployment on a boat which has a large distance between the winch and the roller. I found the cure for this was to have a short section of rope between the chain and the anchor, as in photo. I was at first unhappy about this, but the breaking strain of the rope is about 6 tons so, it should be safe with frequent inspections. When lowering or raising the anchor it is important not to have the boat pointing into the the waves. If it were, it would not need a very large wave to cause an anchor strike on the bow, as is clear from the photo.Third picture: The Rocna really bites into the sea bed!
