Roland R07-WS Voorruit voor R-07

This is an essential piece of kit if you do outdoor recordings. The fur absorbs wind blowing across the R-07 microphones, thereby reducing low frequencies wind noise very effectively.This windshield is well made and seems is up to the job when put on, and removed from the R-07 on a regular basis.This windscreen is easy to put on the R-07 due to the curved design around the microphones.It takes a bit of practice though, and there is a knack to doing it.Look closely and you will notice two small tabs either side of the windshield. Place one side of the windshield over the front of the R-07 and hold the tab with your finger, then gently stretch the windshield over the other side and pull the windshield down to make a seal.I must add that I have very poor articulation in my fingers, and don't find fitting the windshield a problem.I have done technical tests and it REDUCES (not eliminate) low frequency wind noise rumble by aprrx 80%.

Bit of a fiddle to fit and a mild attenuation of higher frequencies but its better than hearing wind noise, so on the whole, get it bought, fits great and is very soft.
