Good selection of tools to put screen on an old patio screen door. I did not do this job but someone else did. It was the first time he put a screen on and did a great job.The tools were used to put the pet screen on (this thickdr screen was supposed to come with the tool but it did not so this extra purchase i bought just for the clips turned out to be a good decision). He found the clips useful to hold the screen in place while the door was laying across a corner in the deck railing even though the clips were a bit loose and fell off. The hook allowed him to remove the old spline in about 1 second. The job went well and the screen is tight and wrinkleless and he left a bit of extra screening so as not to tear the screen.The tools may be useful in the future in case the squirrels decide to eat my screen again. However, in the meantime, I think I can use the pick in the kitchen to undo tight knots in plastic bags made by strong men who pick my groceties for online grocery shopping so I can wash and reuse them instead of cutting the knot off. And I think these wheels may be useful to make lines with fabric marking sheets on fabric - my old fabric marking wheel is at least 50 years and a little wobbly. These screen wheels do not have prongs like the fabric ones do but I think it would work.I also bought the screen mouse in case it was easier and would prefer it. He tried it but struggled with it and decided to use the wheel in this set of tools instead.

great quality no problems so far

I used these tools to re-screen several doors and repair one other (I was going to re-screen that one, but I needed only to re-seat the screen on one side to repair it). Having the plastic and the metal wheels really does help as each one is better in certain applications and/or at different times in the process. If you are at all handy, this kit allows you to do your own re-screening - just watch some videos and do a little practice with some of the old screen and then you will have the skills needed. These tools pay for themselves in the first repair and also save a lot of time and trouble getting them to someone else to fix!

First timer replacing screens here, and this tool set was perfect to make the experience a breeze (see what I did there?). Made the job easy to accomplish without frustration.

If you’re reading this thinking you can change screen mesh without this tool, don’t even try. Great value for the money and made installing new mesh very easy. Perfect thickness and very sturdy wooden handle.
