It took a few weeks to get to me in the States, and it was definitely more than I wanted to spend on a tissue box cover/dispenser, but ultimately, once he arrived and was set up, my concerns were wiped away like a dangling booger by a Kleenex pulled from an ancient stone statue’s gaping nostril. Bonus: When my partner came home and saw him, the pause, eye roll, and then immediate overpowering tear-inducing laughter that all hit made the whole thing worth it. I might have an issue with impulse purchase control, I admit that, but my partner - who gently-but-firmly tries his best to help me take a beat whenever I get wide-eyed and giggly about buying anything that triggers a joyful response so that I don’t go bankrupt - tried his darndest to be upset about Mr. Moco Moai so he could tell me to return him immediately… but bless his heart, he couldn’t get the sentence out even once. So we’re keeping him. And we love him.My concern with similar Moai statue tissue box covers/tissue dispensers was that they wouldn’t actually fit a rectangular box of Kleenex in the back of them, meaning you could only put a few loose tissues inside. While you do have to squeeze the box in just a tiny bit, it WILL fit a standard rectangular Kleenex box, but I’d recommend you get the ones that aren’t as tall. Get the rectangular ones that are a tiny bit flatter, and they’ll be better hidden in the back. The standard ones pop out of the back/aren’t flush with the back, but even if that’s all you have, looking at this thing straight on makes it hardly noticeable, and even looking at it from the sides and seeing the box sticking out an inch or two on the back doesn’t matter that much - HE’S JUST SO GREAT.Highly recommend if you don’t hate joy.
