My senior girl recently lost her life-long cat companion and has never been alone. The two of them grooming each other is a ritual the two would do at least once a day. With no other kitty to groom her, I bought this brush because of the density of the boar bristles is packed much tighter than a regular boar bristle brush. It does a nice job to simulate another cat grooming if it is taken across her fur in small, soft strokes.Out of the choices of types of brushes available of this type, I intentionally chose this one for the size, width, length, density of the bristles which I felt most closely resembled its purpose for use.In advance, I knew this brush was not a correct type to remove loose or shedding fur for my cat. (I have different boar bristle brushes for that.) This one holds up really well for my kitty to give her the feel of being groomed by another cat like she is accustomed to.The handle is the perfect size for my hand and for contouring over the cat's body. The brush rarely ever loses bristles when brushing which is nice.She loves the brush and will even hug it. Glad I made the purchase!

Been using them for 5 months now for bouldering (~once a week). Works well on crimps. The 1st brush finally wore out, switching to the 2nd one now. Great value.

When I first saw this brush, I thought it would be ideal for brushing the bottoms of our shoes before entering the house. We just got new carpet and don't want to track in dirt from outside.The cat, on the other hand, went insane as soon as it was opened. It mush have been the Boar's Hair Bristles. She was in cat heaven after I brushed her with this.This is now the cat's brush. We've used other brushes to remove the cat's excess fur, but this is the only one she truly enjoys. She loves biting the brush. She bites the bristles and the handle. It must feel great on her teeth.She also enjoys having her cheeks brushed. This has quickly become the cat's favorite thing in the entire world..This, however, is not a proper cat brush. It has no effect on removing loose hair or undercoat. It's just for the cat's entertainment.So we still need to brush the cat with a proper cat brush on a regular basis, and we still don't have a shoe brush.That being said, this is a very high-quality brush that I would highly recommend. I am confident it would be ideal if used for the intended purposes. The bristles are densely packed and close together. They are somewhat soft despite being stiff enough. You can run the brush across your arm with quite some pressure and it is not uncomfortable.Overall, this is a high-quality, well-made brush. It has a high bristle count, and I'm sure there are many other uses for it around the house besides brushing your cat and archaeological purposes.Lastly, it arrived very nicely packaged. It was very well protected, despite the fact that it is not particularly breakable. The manufacturer put a lot of time, thought, and effort into the packaging.
