I love the look of flat brushes, but most of the hodgepodge I owned had short handles. Transitioning to painting with oil on canvases, I wanted a decent, long-handled range so that I could be more gestural and loose. This set is perfect! I haven't noticed any loose hairs so far.

Loving them. Shape is excellent.

The ferrule (metal part) will eventually separate from the handle, but just get a pool noodle to hang brushes and don’t leave in water. They will last you a while. Great beginner brushes, they are good enough not to frustrate your young or novice painter. Seasoned painters and crafter use them also.

Excellent for use with acrylics. The brushes hold their shape well and are easy to clean. Have bought a second set, although the first set is still going strong (with no shedding of hairs and still in shape) after a year of pretty heavy use with acrylics.
