Conocía el producto y quería evaluarlo. Es el mismo producto SDR de RTL-SDR que en su versión "plateada" pero revisionado, certificado y con una carcasa metálica en negro. De lo mejor si te quieres adentrar en el mundo del SDR. Pero no le puedo dar cinco estrellas porque el producto está excesivamente inflado de precio. Por la mitad del mismo se puede adquirir en otros lados incluida distribución nacional y en menos de 24 horas.

I bought this mainly for the purpose of flight tracking (ADS-B). I started using this dongle from last month. More than 3500 aircraft data is uploaded to the server with my small setup. I am using home made antenna. I think I can improve its range if I use a professional antenna properly. However I am happy with the product. I am using it 24x7 except there was three outage for few hours totally. its working well.

Works exceptionally well, minimal configuration required to get a satisfactory result. Overall a very fun and interesting product to mess around with!

I bought this RTL-SDR V3 which includes a number of accessories to get you started. I usually wouldn't spend much time reading manuals, but for this product I strongly recommend that your read the quick start guide on the official website - maybe also watch some reviews on YouTube to understand what you are buying. If you are a little bit geeky and know how to read instructions, you will probably have no issue installing the device in about 10 minutes. Everything worked well for me (Windows 10). If you don't read the instructions, or you are not good with computers, you might not succeed.After you install I recommend trying out the software (the free SDR# software) on some FM radio channels to get a hang of the software. Then see if you can find details online about local air traffic control frequencies. I successfully managed - from inside my house - to receive FM radio channels and to listen in to airplanes, air traffic control in my area and handheld walkie talkie frequencies (PMR 446 MHz). And many more frequencies are possible. The cool thing about the software is that you can quickly and visually see which frequencies have activity within the selected frequency range and then jump quickly to them.Pros:- Quite cheap- Easy to listen to many different types of radio communication (FM radio, airplanes, walkie talkie, HAM etc.)- Somewhat easy to install (if you are good with computers and can read a manual)- A lot of accessories included (antenna, small tripod etc.)Cons:- You can only view intervals of about 2 MHz at one time- Accessories are cheap quality. One of the antennas was missing its top part.- Device gets quite hot (but not burning hot)Definitely fun if you would like a software-based scanner!
