Amazing. Keeps my nervous whippet from pacing. I originally tried the EzyDog harness but the fit was awful because the rigid chest plate was not designed with sighthounds/large-chested dogs in mind. If I would've known Ruffwear made crash-tested car harnesses, I would've come to them first.We have their 3-point Flagline harness for everyday use ever since my whippet was a puppy. The fit for this Load Up harness is solid. I have some reservations about the neck portion being a bit off, but because it's flexible cloth, it still works and is comfortable enough.As for the adjustments, WATCH THE VIDEO! There's a very specific way that this harness is meant to be adjusted to a perfect fit. For example, the review saying the neck can't be adjusted is untrue. It's not intuitive to fit this one on your own, but still well worth the purchase and peace of mind for your dog's safety and your own.

Bought for a cross-country road trip - dog didn’t mind it at all, kept her nice and safe in the back seat. Good quality materials, sturdy and durable.

The item itself is very well made and very sturdy. The process of strapping and unstrapping the dog to the car’s safety belt is more complicated and ended up with a $490 bill for a new seat belt as our dog chewed it up in zero time as it didn’t allow him for free movement and he got frustrated. Mind you this happened on the way back, from a long trip, so he was perhaps getting tired.

I measured as per the company directions, and could not get the vest to fit over her head. I would say her melon is regular sized.. I did read other reviews mentioning this issue but decided to see if I measured her body property would it work. It didn’t not. The quality of the build looked really good, and it was sent quick. I think the flaw is in the design of the neck not being adjustable. Potentially there would be conflict with the efficiency of the product if the neck were to be adjustable it may not hold up well in an accident, I dont know. I gave three stars, as this was unfortunately a waste of time, but if you can get it to fit somehow it does actually look like a quality product.

We have two rescue mutts with high anxiety who would run back and forth swapping windows continuously, occasionally trying to pop up in the front seat. We bought a Subaru Outback with the intention of increasing our road trips, hiking, and general outdoor life with our dogs. But I wanted to find something that kept them safe on longer trips.The very first time we used these and the dogs were each nicely and safely seated in their respective places and rode calmly from point A to point B, it was a whole new experience. They love getting these put on because they know it means we're going somewhere fun. The entire ride is safer for us all because I'm not distracted by pacing, whining, intrusive dogs behind me.We have now owned these for quite a while and have taken them on many road trips including the Great Smokey Mountains. While we have not had an accident and pray we never do, we have had to hard brake several times and the dogs both remained on the seat rather than spilling off the bench. It makes me believe that their contraptions would perform as described.These vests are well made quality item that will stand the test of time. If I ever needed to replace them, I would unhesitatingly buy these again.
