The arm looked fine the Plastic cover over the nut and metal contact that is driven by the Windscreens wiper arm motor was a little harder to remove than the original on the car.But the biggest issue was the inside of the metal that meshes with the motor shaft was smooth and you need to be aware of the need to tighten up well (But slowly and careful as not to damaged anything). So the grooves are made so the arm rotates well. This is how it needs to be supplied but a quick note would of been handy.Oddly the wifes cars rear wiper arm bolt was way too easy to get off and it never occured to me to tighten the new arm on quite as much as I needed to.So for those who need a guide, although plenty on Youtube.you need a 10mm socket and some penetrating oil. Kitchen towel or a cloth .When loosening or tightening the 10mm nut make sure you hold the wiper so not to damage the motor. Gentle actions best. also be mindful of the glass. If at first the bolt is removed but the arm seems stuck place some kitchen towel or a cloth around the bolt and surrounding. Spray the penetrating oil, WD 40 will do if nothing else. tap around stuck arm with your finger to help let the oil "penetrate" then slowly try to remove. Of course make sure you ensure the oil is wiped away and cleaned off if necessary from the glass and paint work.If not in a hurry let the oil do its work for a while and possibly spray a little more. Then tap around the arm socket again. Plenty of videos if more drastic help needed but try the simple first. The new arm metal bearing will be smooth so before you place the new wiper arm on, make sure the motor arm grooves where it meshes with the wiper arm have all the metal fillings carefully brushed off the grooves. I used a small brush with fine bristles.Use an old cloth or kitchen towel to catch as many of the fillings as possible. To ensure they don't stay on your glass or paint work of course be careful not to wipe them across the metal or glass.Once the grooves are free of any metal flakes place the new arm on and place the bolt on finger tighten. Then holding the wiper arm, slowly tighten the bolt back on with your 10mm socket. you will need to tighten a little more than you think you need to (a few more turns slowly carried out). This is to turn the smooth insides so it looks like the grooved insides of the old wiper arm. But of course don't wildly tighten you are working on a rear windscreen. Before testing the wiper in action, with your hands gently lift the arm up so pointing away from car and make sure the part which connects with car stays in place, by just very lightly wiggling the arm it shouldn't move of course, but be careful doing this. Then ideally leave it away from the glass and turn on it should rotate around. But keep watching if it slips switch off and tighten the bolt a little more, by tighten I mean just small turns of the socket. Once happy test as you would normally.A basic guide and your figure it out good luck.
