The product is great for the most part. I love the green temperature indicators and the heat transference and distribution is fantastic. My only gripe is that the coating was worn from the very rim on arrival but this doesn't affect its function at all.

I have always known Russell Hobbs for their electrical kitchen appliances, like kettles and toasters, of which I have in the past bought and owned and found them to be very reliable, so when they offered me this 24cm stockpot to try and review I was more than happy to do.So, what is this stockpot like from the new Russell Hobbs Verde thermocollar collection!Well initial thoughts after using it for a week, and that is everyday is that it is good, well actually very good, and this is for various reasons.First is how light it is, this is because of its aluminium body, well recycled aluminium body to be precise, and I do like this thought that they and I, are doing something to help the planet, it might not be a lot but every little bit counts as they say.The thermocollar is the section between the handle and the pot, this will turn green when the pot has reached optimum temperature and ready for you to put the food in, a very clever idea and feature I thought. I found this perfect for making a chilli and browning off the mince, and for browning off chicken thighs for a stew.It does give a good even heat around the base, I didn't see any cool spots while cooking, and you can test this with water, bring it to the boil and where there are very little bubbles that is where the cool spots are, glad to say that this pot bubbled evenly all round.The lid does fit well, there is very little movement when on so holds in the heat well, there is a little vent but this can be sealed with a little silicone bung, I found these on Amazon and do a good job if you're wanting to seal the lid.Handles do not get hot and have a nice feel to them, they are secured to the pot with two rivets in each handle so hopefully will not come loose like screws can sometimes.This pot worked on my induction hob with no issues, though the body is aluminium the base is metal, I checked this with a magnet, not sure what metal it is but it works. It can also be used on a gas hob, halogen hob, radiant ring and a solid electric hob, and I suppose on a gas BBQ as well.SO easy to clean as well, the non-stick coating really does work well, just rinse with hot water first then clean in a bowl with washing up liquid, I personally prefer to use a nylon bristled dish brush and a cloth, not those green pads, and it will not go anywhere near the dishwasher.At the time of this review the pot is costing £27.99 and from I have experienced during a week of using this pot I do feel that this is a fair and good price, and most importantly, I would recommend it.

This is a good quality and reasonably large stock pot made from recycled forged aluminium with a tempered glass lid with steam vent. I've used successfully for both boiling pasta and making a spaghetti bolognese sauce. It is a fairly solid pan, but not too heavy despite being so. I have used it on both a ceramic hob and a gas hob -- both equally successful in my opinion. You cannot put in a dishwasher but it has an easy clean ceramic non-stick coating. The pot also has thermo indicator technology -- it changes colour indicating you can reduce the heat. Priced £27.99 at the time of this Amazon Vine review, I think this would be a good addition to any kitchen and would make a nice wedding and/or housewarming gift. We are very pleased with this pot and are happy to recommend at the current price point.

I love this pot. Easy cleanup and versatile. I have used it countless times on an electric stove top and also in the oven up to 450 when I baked bread in it (without the lid). It has replaced several other pans in my daily kitchen use.. The only slight fault would be to say that the screw on the knob of the lid keeps loosening. It’s a minor thing and easily tightens back up. Otherwise the maintenance and cooking performance are awesome.
