i go straight to the 4th setting. (4 short presses of the on button). it's an attention getting fasttwin-flash cadence, which is exactly what's needed to get attention.the battery lasts for as long as i've ever needed it to last, so i cantsay just how long it will last but on the flash setting they last the two hours that i need them for.i have had one arrive "dead on arrival" without the usb port present in the plastic hole, it just was not there, but at the price i decided it was just not worth complaining so i bought another set.the big advantage is that these lights can be removed form the bike every time you stop, easily and quickly. the disadvantage is that if you forget them on the bike, they can be taken off just as quicklyby a thief :-) just take them off when the bike is left locked up and alone, or buy again !out of ten i give them a 10 rating for attention getting at night.i use a white one at the front during the daytime as well as the bike's own continuous lightso the pedestrians that walk out in front of me have *no excuse* for saying they didnt see me,these things get seen for sure.i like them very much and thoroughly recommend them to all.

Good value for money bike lights. Very bright and good selection of display modes, easy to fit to pedal cycle or clip on to clothes. I bought these for the usb charging facility rather than have one use batteries. I bought two sets but on one set the charging light on the rear wasn’t working . However it did charge snd as I needed both sets ( one for my wife) I chose not to return for a replacement. Other than that I am pleased with these lights

They are bright when alluminated but body and lens cover are not very robust.Both work but when fully charged only one gives a green light to let you know. I just wanted a cheap light to use on holiday at Centre Parcs for my own bike.
