Ik heb een oude SSD van een oude chromebook in deze Sabrent M.2 SSD [NGFF] naar USB 3.0 Aluminium Behuizing geplaatst, aan de Raspberry PI 4 gehangen en de SD kaart gekopieerd (met aanpassing UUID' s) naar de SSD drive. Daarna de Raspberry gereset, SD kaart er uitgehaald en vervolgens opgestart van de SSD. Dat werkte prima. Zoek op internet even naar hoe de raspberry Pi van USB kan booten en je bent klaar. Erg content.

Product is degelijk.De sata SSD word goed herkent op mijn Xbox serie-s .Heb wel een extra koelpads tussen de behuizing en de SSD gedaan.Zodat er optimaal koel contact op de behuizing ontstaat.Behuizing word dus ook netjes warm.Waarom 3 sterren ?Nee niet de speciale USB kabels die er mee is geleverd .Maar omdat ontwerp niet is ontworpen dat de behuizing als koeling kan worden gebruikt.Maar goed dit is een ouwe type en daar is de prijs ook na .

Heb een macbookpro M1, macmini M1 en een mac studio. Samen met een 4 TB Sabrent pro SSD haal ik op alle apparaten hoogstens rond de 1000 MB read/write. Tenzij je deze combi gebruikt om achter elkaar wat files van een paar GB te kopieeren van de SSD van de Mac's naar de sabrent. Dan zakt de snelheid al heel snel in naar tussen de 3 en 400, en soms nog lager. Teleurgesteld.

This is one of my favorite enclosures. It's built like a tank and is machined from solid aluminum. Unlike a lot of others I've tried, it stays reasonably cool without fans or vents, which makes it more ideal for me working in environments where dust or dirt could be an issue. Works like a charm (tested on windows, mac, and linux) and performs at advertised speeds as long as you use a reliable brand-name NVME SSD.

Good Product the only issue I could say is that the locking bracket for the M.2 SSD is a bit naff a screw would be a lot better its not an issue in day to day use at all though I could see it being a problem if you drop the enclosure I can see your SSD flying across the Starbucks floor because of the flimsy locking bracket

This isn't a cheaply made inclosure. It has a very nice build quality and solid construction. It's heavier than other enclosures, but this isn't an issue knowing you can also use it to hammer in some nails if you ever need to. Just don't use the supplied screw driver as it's too small to remove the screws. You want to use a bigger screwdriver to make it an easier job. The only thing I don't like is the supplied usb-c to usb-c cable is a little loose and moves from side to side a bit when it's plugged into the enclosure. Aside from that this is a good solid enclosure.
