Aufgrund der tollen Muster habe ich das Angebot, diese Druckplatte auszuprobieren, gern angenommen und habe anschließend eine Achterbahnfahrt wegen der Haftung hingelegt.Fazit: die meisten Probleme hocken 50cm vor dem Display. Wo die serienmäßige Druckplatte einem manches verzeiht und dennoch gute Haftung bietet, habe ich mit dieser Druckplatte (wie auch anderen mit vergleichbarer Funktion) lernen müssen, wo noch im Hiblick auf Einstellungen Verbesserungsbedarf ist. Nach einigen Versuchen übertrug sich endlich der Effekt der Platte auf das Druckobjekt. Total klasse!Wenn alles passt, ist die Platte von der Haftung her super und nach dem Abkühlen lässt sich das gedruckte Objekt einfach ablösen.Insgesamt finde ich die Druckplatte überzeugend und eine lohnende Anschaffung. Der längere Weg bis zu einem brauchbaren Ergebnis werte ich wegen des Lerneffektes nicht negativ, sondern als Bonus.

I printed a benchy from this. The only problem is the benchy does have some engraved writing on the bottom so it did take away from some of the effect. However, you can definitely still see it. I would recommend to have as smooth of a base layer as possible for the most pronounced effect.Also, I had no adhesion issues and it removed very easily from the build plate without any glue or nano adhesive.

I ordered the D257B variant (PEY) and have spent several hours trying, and failing, to get a print to adhere to the surface. I've drafted several versions of this review over the course of those hours, trying to express the myriad settings, tweaks, cleanings, and hacks to try and get it working. Every single test has failed to give me a decent first layer...until now. I have quite a bit of 3D printing experience with several types of printers, all major types of filaments, on many different types of build surfaces. This is my first PEY experience, and it has been maddening. Not because it took a lot of effort to get it working, but because this type of effort is something I haven't had to deal with since I got my first Bambu printer.After getting it dialed in, it has been working pretty well. The filament isn't quite picking up the effect as much as I hoped, but I think I can improve upon it with a bit more effort. I think this is a nice print plate to have for a fun first layer effect, but you need to be ready to possibly have to put some real effort into getting it printing nicely. Or you might get lucky and have it work a lot easier than it did for me!

That's not to say I'm implying the texture makes your print durable. The etched texture itself is durable, and will last a good while on your print! Unlike other holographic pattern print plates, the deep etch on this one makes it difficult to accidentally buff out the pattern from your print. It also means the print plate itself will last a good while. This is a great textured plate and is probably my favorite after market plate, over the standard textured Bambu plate!
