Works well, seal seemed a little too tight, but doesn't seem to be leaking.

Worked as described. I took the bolt out of the center. Put tool around the selector shaft and bottom it out on seal. Put firm pressure on the back of the tool as you tighten it into the seal. You will feel it get snug. Once it gets good and snug tighten the jack bolt in the center. When I installed the new seal, I cleaned the shaft with carb cleaner. I wrapped the shaft right past the flat with about 2 wraps of electrical tape starting. (The first wrap around the threads then up onto the part of the shaft with the flats.) I lubed the seal up with trans gel, but use whatever lube you prefer. Push the seal on the shaft, past the tape. Then remove the tape. Now time to drive the seal. I didn't measure how deep the seal was before I started (I assume that's what the measuring strip is for), I just drove it gently until it stopped. Generally you will hear a sound change when the seal bottoms out.Good luck. Sometimes it can be a pain. Also, I seen reviews of other tools being tight on the shaft, this one fit over the shaft great!

Had the same experience as others. The tool is very very cheap metal. The ends of the tool broke off in the old seal. Had to remove transmission pan and shifter shaft. The shaft is now damaged. Now I'm into it for a new shifter shaft, seal, pan gasket. Waste of time and money. Not to mention the frustration. On a positive note the tool did fit over the shaft and I decided to look more closely at the seal, the seal housing was out of round and it looked cheap. I decided to buy a better seal to avoid future problems.

The seal extractor is so cheap and brittle it literally crumbled into pieces when trying to extract the seal. I'm now left with a smashed seal that is still in the transmission and no way to get it out untill I f8nd another extractor. Waste of money and time.
Worked great

Worked great ,you need to put a lot of pressure on the tool and turn it at the same time to get it to seat into the old seal
