This is a fabulous set of paper decorations in really pretty colours. The items are all individually wrapped and easy to assemble - they can also be folded flat again for easy storage and re-use. The exception is, I think, the large pom-poms. I haven't opened these out as I'm keeping the set for a summer birthday but, reading the instructions, I think once these are opened and "fluffed out" you might not be able to fold them flat again. There's a good variety of decorations, a gold "Happy Birthday" banner and little confetti type things to scatter on a table. At £ 16.99 at time of writing I think this is good value for a set which will transform a room or a garden, especially as most can be used again.

This set of birthday decorations is excellent quality and good value. The set includes a gold happy birthday banner with a roll of gold ribbon and a needle with which to thread it through the pre-punched holes; three hanging paper fans (one in sage with gold spots and two in cream); a packet of table confetti containing gold, peach, pink and green paper circles, and paper green leaves); four paper lanterns (two sage, one peach and one white) with clear instructions as to how to expand them using the metal wire included, which takes seconds; four sets of paper (two sage green and two peach) with which to make paper pom poms; and a roll of white ribbon. The banner, fans and paper lanterns can be folded back down and thus are reusable.The reason I have deducted a star is because I do not find the instructions as to how to assemble the paper pom poms clear and therefore have not been able to construct them. Perhaps somebody familiar with making them would know what to do? In addition, the instructions for the paper lanterns presuppose that they will be hung around light fittings, but there is nothing to suggest that the paper is fire-retardant, so I personally would err on the side of caution and hang them instead from wire or tape, or from trees.
