I have hanged this permanently in my oven because the thermostate is broken. It works perfectly.

Finally I had found the ideal thermometer - fairly large, simple, not too many markings, 0-300 C, clear, hang & stand - for a reasonable price. I just hoped it would have correct readings. And that seems to be the case (checked with 2 others, all within 10 degrees of each other). Alas, unlike advertised, it has no really adjustable angle: it can only be either vertical or horizontal, any position in between and it flips right back. Tried in vain to see whether loosening/fastening the screw changed the spring action.Furthermore and worse, while having been in the oven during baking with no problem, afterwards it developed moist inside, which is still there after 2 hours, although slightly less (so it will probably eventually disappear; maybe just this item happens to be bad ...). Never had that happen in 30 years with any oven thermometer (others are CDN and a by now really old Springfield, which I need to replace).Got in touch with Salter: no useful hint to organise a good tilt, only advise was to return it. Sad for an otherwise good product.

Good looking and small but easily readable thermometer. The quality of the metal feels good. And it's also very nice how versatile the placement options are. You can set him down on a shelf, or hang him off them, either the front or the back.

Este termometro de horno tiene un soporte que sirve tanto para colgarlo de la rejilla como ponerlo con su base sobre la cubeta. Es lento de respuesta aunque parte de la culpa es del horno.Nuestro horno no alcanza más de 175°C sin ventilador pero llega hasta 250°C con ventilador. Se ve con contraste gracias a la banda oscura concéntrica, el cristal del horno impide verlo con mayor claridad, pero es lo que hay. Contento con la compra.

Seem accurate but trying to read this thing behind a closed oven door is nearly impossible. The dial's black background makes reading the dark red hand very hard without opening the oven (letting out heat).
