Been planning a month-long trip across Asia (4 countries in 4 weeks), and I knew I had to pack smart. Will be leaving the mirrorless and lenses behind—just bringing my iPhone, iPad, and GoPro this time.I’m finally recording in ProRes 4K60 and editing directly from the drive. No transferring. No shuffling files around. Just plug it in and go—because the footage is saved directly to the DRIVE! It’s already there, so convenient!I’m able to get around 72 minutes of ProRes footage, which is more than enough for my daily travel vlogging. The included cable is solid—not one of those cheap, dinky ones. And THANK YOU for not throwing in three random cables I’ll never use. The one they include works great with both my iPhone Pro Max and iPad Pro.Bonus: the magnetic ring is a nice touch—I'm using it with my iPad. And the SSD tucks perfectly into the folds of my folio case. Feels like it was made for this kind of setup. If you're a mobile creator or minimalist traveler, this is 100% worth it.

To start..qr code printed on the quick start gave me an error message. “This website may be impersonating "qr.sandisk.com" to steal your personal or financial information. You should close this page.”Next I tried to use the MagSafe connection..no response.Then I used USB C connector and although it seemed to work, I received failure messages to start again. Suddenly an error message popped up indicating the device was not compatible.I was using newest iPhone and all apps updated.I would not recommend this product!

I love that it attaches to my phone using MagSafe. The device also comes with a magnetic ring to put inside of your case. If you don’t have a case, you can stick it to your phone. I think it might be a little bulky for the tech we have these days. This could’ve been much smaller with today's technology.The specs are great, though. I'm talking 1000 mb/s. I would say that for its price and functionality, this is a great option. It’s perfect for content creators that film a lot of videos and take pictures that need to be later processed on a computer. But, I'm not sure I like how Android and iPhone still handle external storage. It really should be easier to have an option to "save pictures on an external device when available," and maybe even a "move files" option that isn't quite as challenging as it currently is.I also feel like the cable that comes with this might be bulky. Maybe a 180 connector would make more sense, but then you might not be able to use it on a computer. There's the old adage, "be careful what you wish for," and I'm guessing there would be compromises made if the cable was anything other than its current size.I've included a screenshot of a speed benchmark test. In my opinion, it's great. It definitely reached the advertised speeds!Worked perfectly on samsung fold6, but will work in ANY phone with type-c.
