I bought this item to match other fittings on a walk in shower. The top was said to be metal but was plastic. In terms of the body it was quite thin and not what I expected. I used the top with another much more sturdy lower unit. Personally I di not think that this was balue for money.

This is a well made and strong shower drain.Mine has a gold coloured top and it's gold all over (top and bottom) so feels like it's a coating that will last. To remove the top you simply pull it vertically (current one is screwed) so you have easy access to clean.The outlet pipe is standard 40mm OD pipe for the UK, but I can't seem to see that measurement in the description, only in the picture which isn't that clear for people who are not familiar with plumbing. The supplied seal is an excellent fit to the 40mm pipe and just felt really positive and that it won't leak.Overall it's well made, great colour, very good seal to 40mm OD pipe and highly recommended.

Direct replacement for a much more expensive trap from a well known bathroom brand that discoloured and cracked.Matches the bathroom well and looks great!Very nice item, would recommend!
