I use the lights for starting chili pepper seedlings, and as extras to a couple of Sansi 36W lights for mature chilli plants.A 15W light has enough brightness for a tray of 30x30cm (1x1ft) containing 9 chili pepper seedlings in nursery pots until they are around 20 to 25 cm (7"-9") tall and ready to transplant to larger pots or into the garden. With the light placed some 25cm above the crown of the plants, the leaves of these seedlings become a very deep dark green and have no problems at all adjusting to full sunlight exposure.I also use the 15W lights as additional lights to a couple of 36W Sansi grow lights to cover those parts of mature potted chili plants that would otherwise get left out. This combi gives enough brightness to not just make the plants flower and fruit, but even to ripen the fruit. The leaves are also a very dark green and during those few sunny days we have had this year, the plants had no adjustment problems either to be suddenly put outdoors in full sunlight for 10 hours.

When it's on during the day on a bright overcast day you can hardly tell the difference between the light it emits and natural sunlight. It's not yellow or purple. To me it's even pleasing to the eye. It is quite bright though.
