I've always fancied buying and/or making corsets, but not got round to it so far.This corset is nicely made and the brown satin fabric is of good quality & weight. It's white cotton lined with flexible boning and the front busk (with metal hooks and eyes) is also flexible, but firmer than the rest of the boning. It seems to hold up well under the strain of lacing and feels like it will last well.The lacing is by satin ribbon that matches the satin of the corset.I usually take a 12 in trousers/skirts, so ordered the same size for this corset. As I have a fairly square torso, I maybe would've been better sizing up on a garment that is less forgiving, such as this (though the lacing does allow for a fair bit of adjustment). I'll include the exact measurements to aid buyers:Height at centre front: 9.5 inches (238mm)Left panel 16 inches (404mm)Right panel 15.5 inches (394mm)Overlap at the busk (centre front) 0.5inch (13mm)If fully laced shut, this provides a waist circumference of 31inches (785mm).The modesty panel extends just under 3 inches (74mm) beyond the back right panel, but is curved at the corners, so can add up to 2 inches/50mm before the corners start to become visible, so the waist circumference including this is 31"-33" .You can lace larger than this, but it would mean folding the modesty panel under the corset panel or removing it. This will just mean that fabric (or skin) beneath the lacing will be visible (this isn't necessarily a problem, and historic corsets often didn't have a modesty panel). If you found a good match for the fabric, you could easily make a wider modesty panel.It is possible to lace this corset down by quite a few inches without it causing any discomfort - it's actually quite comfortable and supportive on the lower back, but I didn't test it under very tight lacing conditions purely because I have no wish to be very tightly laced.The height was comfortable, even for someone like me with a short torso.For someone with my shape, it definitely gives a much better illusion of a defined waist, and it looks particularly nice with a fuller skirt (where any displaced flesh is covered by some volume of fabric!!).

La qualité est très bonne : le corset est assez rigide (dans le bon sens du terme pour un corset !) ce qui fait qu’il gaine bien, et fait une jolie silhouette. Le tissu et les finitions sont de bonne facture, et le rendu est super joli, avec son satin légèrement brillant en noir 🙂 La fermeture à crochets à l’avant, et le serrage à lacet à l’arrière, ces lacets permettent de vraiment s’adapter aux différentes morphologies.Petit point d'attention : il taille assez grand pour un corset. Si vous être entre 2 tailles, privilégiez la taille en dessous.Un très joli corset, à petit prix 🙂

Wirklich toll verarbeitet und kostengünstig. Was mich etwas stört ist, dass man sich lieber eine Größe kleiner nehmen sollte (ich hatte 40), wenn man die Taille schön schlank schnüren möchte, denn an der Größenangaben wird die Angabe auf den vollkommen zugeschnürten Umfang genommen, was an sich auch in Ordnung ist, aber wie ich es von Mittelalterkleidung kenne, ist bei der Taillenschürungsgröße der bequeme Schnürungsbereich gemeint, ohne dass die Corsage voll zu geschnürt ist, weil das nämlich auch stylisch so aussieht und dadurch erst diese Kurve entstehen kann. ;)Aber das ist nur meine Sicht der Dinge.

A well made little corset belt that’s great for many cosplay costumes, club nights, or parties.It feels well made and substantial enough to take the strain, should you want to lace it quite tightly. You have nice quality corset hooks on the front and a lacing system on the back, with a ribbon to lace up. It’s also boned to keep it looking nice and smooth when worn.The fabric is a thick and sturdy polyester satin, sufficiently stiff to take the strain. In terms of sizing, I bought the Medium, which is what I would normally get on clothes (somewhere between Small and Med in most shops), and it fit well—a tad on the big side, so I had to lace it up literally as tight as it would go; I’d say if you want to tightlace this (which although the fabric feels capable, it’s not wide enough top to bottom, plus the line of the hip is a bit too high unless you want the ridiculous Cardassian look!). I can only give the Medium measurements, but here you go-Total belt length from lacing point to lacing point, not including the laces: 78cm (30 ¾ ”)Height at centre front: 24cmHeight at centre back: 12cmHeight at side (under arms): 13.5cmNumber of bones (including lacing bones): 12Obviously you can set the lacing to whatever you want, but if you want to use the sewn-in lacing rest (the bit of fabric that the lacing goes over, generally the same fabric as the main corset), then you have an added 5cm of adjustment.In all I’d say this looks good and feels sturdy enough to take the strain and sit smartly into the bargain. It’s adjustable enough to fit well as long as you order close to your size, and the chart which adjusts the sizing to match UK sizing seems pretty accurate. A nice waist cincher.
