De Scheepjes sokkenliniaal is een essentieel hulpmiddel voor breiers die sokken maken. Controleer eenvoudig de afmetingen van uw sokken terwijl u breit door de liniaal in uw werk te steken. Het geeft de voetlengte weer voor de maten 30 tot 47, wat helpt bij het plaatsen van de teenverkleining. De ene kant toont centimeters en Europese schoenmaten, terwijl de andere kant inches, Britse en Amerikaanse maten toont. Een uitsparing van 30cm/12 inch helpt bij het meten van het breiwerk en het testen van de spanning. Het bevat een ingebouwde naaldmeter voor de maten 2.00mm tot 4.00 mm. Het is gemaakt van hout en heeft een prachtige natuurlijke uitstraling.

I've been making socks lately and needed a better way to measure. I've searched and found other measuring devices. Definitely did not like the slap braclet type. I've fiound others similar to this but they didn't interest me. I know Scheepjes has good yarn so thought I'd try their sock ruler. I am very happy with this one. I can hang it as it did arrive with a little satin loop. The material is quality wood, sturdy and can easily read the numbers. It even has holes to measure needles, but I have lots of those. There are metric and imperial measurements.

It works well but I will have to sand some of the rough spots off the edges because it catches on the wool.

I have ordered a few different sock rulers and this one is the worst one. Everything about it would be great except for the fact that it hasn't been sanded properly. When you try to slip a sock on the ruler (its primary function) the sock fibers catch on all of the little splinters and unfinished snags on the ruler. I brushed my fingers over the entire ruler and teeny splinters start popping up. I'm going to try to sand it down? The craftsmanship is just lazy. I love the etching and measurements but it's not worth it if your socks are snagged before they're finished! I really wouldn't buy this.
