Schwalbe AV 13AP (Air Plus) fietsbinnenband // 26' (40/62-559)

Da in den Schwalbe Black Jack Mänteln die Luft immer von 3 Bar runter ging im Billigschlauch, habe ich da nachgebessert mit den AIR plus 26.Bislang ist alles super!

Heavy duty tubes

firstly I've got 30 years experience in bikes and doing all my own repairs all my life so what I don't know isn't worth knowing, so I went for these as they looked more premium as the standard Schwalbe tubes in the recent past have failed and when I say failed I'm talking about the tube deflated and not always from punctures but ripped on the seams in exactly the same place even though my wheel rim and tyre beading was perfect as I check you bike yearly so I went for these as the rubber is 50% thicker so on first impressions they looked good but after putting 1 tube on my front wheel I got a flat within just a short 2 mile ride, strange ey!! so upon inspection I've noticed tinny pin prick hole so I opened my other 2 packets and to my amazement 2 tinny holes were in the tubes within 8cm of each other so obviously I'm I've turn into inspector gadget and I'm checking my tyre rim wiring and my wheel rim at exactly where the area would be as I could tell from where the valve was on the tube so that allowed me to work out exactly location on the wheel and tyre and both were in immaculate condition so this is proof that these inner tubes are defective so 2 out of 3 defective first having 1 tinny pin prick hole and 2nd tube 2 tinny holes so now I open up the 3rd tube and whilst it didn't have a hole in the tube wen slightly inflated a bulge developed which is an indercation the there's a weakness within that part of the tube normally means the rubber is slightly thinner causing that part to bulge so once again another defective tube so basicly 3 defective tubes out of 3 not great this Schwalbe is it, atleast Amazon gave me a full refund and il be binning them and trying to find another brand, I used to buy tubes from Wilkos back in the day with no issues, none branded tubes and now I'm buying online suposed to be top brand names and the quality just isn't there, what's going on Is poor manufacturing process in India, Taiwan, Indonesia or were ever the product is being sorced from and it's not good, these top brands are having products manufactured and obviously there's a quality control issue going on as I've also had problems with the continental conti tubes arriving with tinny holes in the tubes straight out of the box from dated 2019 so that's another 3 tubes that need puncture repairs doing or binning, why am I having to repair brandnew inner tubes from top brands straight out of the packets, il be writing another review in the Continental tube listing's if you want to check it out. brandnew tubes shouldn't have tinny pin pricks holes in them, check your tubes before you even put them on you wheel by just inflating them to a low psi and them scrutinised every part as that's what il be doing from now on UPDATE so I've cut these inner tubes apart as I wanted to see inside as I noticed one tube wouldn't inflate very well and at first I thought it might have been a bad valve but no take alook at my images, I will never buy Schwalbe inner tubes again I'm disgusted by the lack of quality and trying to put a complain online on there website is just a joke as its a lengthy filling out lots of drop down information just to complain, I guess they don't want to hear about customer complaints anyway check out my images and you can see the inside of the tube the rubber by the valve the hole isn't aligned properly
