To hard but well made

We just retired and we've tried numerous seats since getting back into biking after decades of not riding and none of the seats we've tried have been comfortable for our upright, leisure riding style...... until this. We were about to give up. We couldn't go 4 miles on the other seats we tried, without our sit bones or "other" areas getting very sore. Finally this Schwinn Breeze Cruise foam seat solved my wife's issues. It's comfortable enough that I ordered one for myself as well. Today we went 12 miles with very little discomfort if any. Is it heaven? No, but it's good enough that I no longer fear that our newly purchased bikes will be sitting in the garage collecting dust. We just need our butts to get used to riding longer distances and it should be great. The seat is wider than any others that we've tried and fits our butts nicely. I'm 6' tall and she's 5'7 and neither of us are overweight. The seat measures 10.9" wide by 11" long and 2.5" thick. We're happy!

Best bike seat replacement option, more comfortable than the original seats!

I bought this for my daughter-in-law, and she wanted a wide seat. She hasn't ridden it yet, but I expect she'll like it, and for the 10 to miles per month she ►might◄ ride on it, it will probably be fine.HOWEVER...I should have read the reviews before purchasing, because even for my daughter-in-law, this product puts The Wide™ in "Wide Saddle". It's basically a soft bar stool for your bike.If you put in fewer than 50 miles a year, this is probably a great product. On the other hand, if you're planning on getting fit and putting in some real miles, you will absolutely want something with a smaller. Don't confuse "width" with "comfortable" or worse, "ergonomic"; even if you weigh 500 pounds, your sit bones are still only about 5.5 inches apart. A saddle that's too wide can actually hurt you over time.
