Oh yeh they are expensive,But when you consider this iem is competing with others costing 3 times more then you realise you have something very special here,and if you have a headphone amplifier or streamer like a Chord electronics polymojo,Hugo or Astell and kern then you are in music nirvana,I have not even tried it with the Bluetooth dongle,my wife uses it with her ionic 5,if you want the best sound stick to the exchangeable cables,it took me almost 3 weeks to start enjoying music since I was overwhelmed at the information I have just discovered that these iem can make you hear.It might be expensive but these you can keep for a lifetime.Absolutely worth it.

The sound from the shure 846 is outstanding. I stream music from my Samsung galaxy s23 ultra to my fiio btr7 using the ldac codec .I play music from Spotify and amazon HD, amazon has ultra HD music which sounds fantastic and I really love my Sony wh-1000xm5 which sound great but the detail in the shures is uncannyI hear sounds that don't hear on my sony headphones ,the shure has a great wide sound stageAnd good accurate bass ..the 846 come with 4 different nozzles that change the sound ,my favourite is the white filter ,the music is bright and lively and you can hear every note and every instrument.Choosing the correct foam earbud is essential to get a good seal in the ear . Choosing the wrong one for your ear type can make these sound like 99p earphones so experimentThe shure se 846 have been around for over 10 years and there is a reason why . I know people who have had them for over 7 years and still going strong .The shures pair well with the portable fiio btr7 bluetooth dac and amp which provides lots of sound customisation. I add a slight v shape to the eq ,that's my preference and suits me just fine 🙂

Moin,Obwohl sie mit den gelben Aufsätzen super gepasst haben und ich verschiedenste Quellen, also HQ Dienste am PC, HiRes via Fiio Btr7 mit verschiedensten EQ Einstellungen etc. getestet habe, kabelgebunden und auch kabellos, kam leider der erhoffte "Aha" Effekt nicht auf, den ich erhofft habe von 200-300€ Overear Kopfhörer und In Ears von Sony, Apple und Bose kommend.Optisch, haptisch und von der Passform waren sie mega, aber bei dem Preis finde ich persönlich, sollte man nicht überlegen müssen ob der Sound jetzt besser ist oder man sich das einbildet.Und ich habe Aufsätze, Röhrchen und auch Musikstile durchprobiert aber nichts Klang für mich so wie ich es von hochklassigen Kopfhörern erwarten würde, leider. Die von viele versprochene Bühne hat sich nicht aufgebaut, es war schlicht guter okayer relativ neutraler Sound aber nichts Herausragendes, was für mich die Investition rechtfertigen würde, eher war es mehr Aufwand am Ende mit Zuspielern, EQ etc. um "guten" Klang zu bekommen.Wirklich schade, da ich gerne in Ears gehabt hätte, welche noch ein paar Schippen an Klarheit und Musikempfinden raufpacken, am Ende wurden es bei mir jetzt Bose Quiet Comfort 2s im Angebot für 230€, Kabellos, kein rumgehexe mit Zuspieler, Quelldateien, HiresApp, etc, einfach Bluetooth and und okayer Sound, keine Kabel und Welten intensiverer Bass mit für mich genügend Klarheit und dazu ANC.Da bleib ich dann wohl in der "mittleren" Klasse statt Luxus.Etwas schade ist es trotzdem, weil ich große Erwartungen hatte.Vielleicht hilft das ja wem,ciau ;)

This was one of my biggest HiRes audio disappointments.I like to think I can recognize and enjoy HiRes audio.I have devices from Marantz, Cambridge Audio, B&W, Klipsh,etc.Have been emersed in music for decades.These sound good. But nowhere near what you would expect from the brand, for the price, and after all the hype about them.And I tried. I tried all the 'removable filters'. All ear tip types.I tried different devices, including HiRes media players.They just do not impress.

So this near £700 pounds In Ear Monitoring phone set is an upgrade from its predecessor!!??Well, I have a much earlier version of these and I have to say they are better than these.Save your money and do not buy these as they are Definitely NOT worth the money. Very Very disappointed. :(
