First off I and my husband are in our mid 60's. We like to camp in the Boundary Waters. To camp in the area it has to be packed in, by water/Canoe and foot. So, we are always looking for ways to lighten up the load. This 1 Liter pot (~4cups) is a great way to have a nice pot that is collapsible, light and will work for our stove. The Sea to Summit pot ticks all the boxes. The gray areas of the pot and lid are made with anodized aluminum, a nice and efficient way to quickly heat something up in the pot. We have other pots made with the same aluminum and it's nice that we don't waste much fuel to heat up the pot. The orange on the pot is a food grade material that has flexibility in it, so we can squish the pot down for went packing up.Does it retain heat for a long time, no (maybe tops for 15mins until it gets luke warm and the lid has to be in place). But if you are backpacking your stuff in, you tend to make what you need to eat or drink and use it right after its ready.Easy to clean, yes. if you do have a strong curry dish or over cook the meal, I would suggest letting it soak with a bit of soap and water, maybe heat the water up a bit to cut the heavy seasoning or crusty stuff. As in the picture I have, it's on a portable stove, I found that to insure that it does not tip over while cooking , I will line up the handle with one of the legs on my stove. It keeps it from wobbling.Setting up and pack down is very easy. The instruction on how to flip the handle is on the box edge. I suggest you test it out a few times before taking it out on a trip without the box. The handle also helps to keep the lid on nicely when packed down. The pot it self just pops up with very little pressure given to the inside pot bottom.I really do like this pot and can't wait to bring up to the Water in May. The light weight of it (7.02 oz on my scale) is a bonus. They say use for one person but with this pot along with a 2 L pot works great for the two of us. Also, Sea to Summit brand is our go to brand when we are up grading our kit.

The Sea to Summit Frontier Ultralight Collapsible 1-Liter Pot is a essential piece of kit for backpackers and campers seeking a lightweight, space-saving cooking solution. It is super light weighing in at just 6.7 oz and collapsing to a mere 1-inch height, it’s incredibly packable, fitting snugly into any pack without taking up much room at all. The hard-anodized aluminum base ensures rapid, even heat transfer, boiling water quickly (around 4 minutes for 2 cups), while the food-grade silicone sidewalls are durable and BPA-free, making it safe and easy to clean. The innovative Click-Safe handle locks securely for cooking and reverses to hold the lid and nested items for transport, and the LidKeep feature conveniently clips the lid to the pot’s side. I think this is perfectly sized for solo meals or as a bowl. I would only consider this if you are on a solo trip or you need space for other essentials. This pot is highly functional and ultra light that packs down small and performs very well for its size. Highly recommended if you need a small functional pot or perhaps a smaller pot to supplement the larger size. Either way you can't go wrong and its a worthwhile pick up.

My wife and I are avid campers and hikers, and we've been using more and more 'Sea to Summit' gear. As we're originally from the Pacific Northwest, it's hard to break away from REI and other solidly established gear brands, but we've been progressively impressed by S2S.In the case of this pot, there's quite a bit to appreciate. It's pricey - you could find options, including lightweight ones - that cost a fraction of the price. But this unit is going to be far superior in quality. If you want something that will last for years, this is it. The aluminum is thick enough to take gas-stove heat without warping, and the food-grade silicone is equally durable. I also like the fact that the heat dissipates quickly, so you'll be able to pack up and hit the trail without having to wait a while for the metal to cool-off.This will make a great addition to any diehard hikers' backpack. Recommended!

I love that this pan is lightweight, heats properly, compacts down into a small space, and looks cool, but I also really love that it fits anywhere in my backpack! All of the other pans I have used take up so much space, are awkward, and it is always a big chore trying to find space to fit them. This little round pan fits anywhere, making it very convenient to pack. The bright orange color is great for finding it wherever you do end up putting it!When it is collapsed down, I am able to store a few small kitchen items inside. The lid does not seal tightly, so some care must be taken when deciding what to store inside this pan or you may end up with things floating all around in the abyss of your pack! I attached a photograph of how much the lid can wiggle apart in its closed position. Other than that, this is a great pan by Sea to Summit, with the same high-quality that many backpackers have come to know and love.

This is a very well designed portable and collapsible pot. It is about the perfect size to fit on a small camping stove and holds a very decent amount of water. It works perfectly and since the majority of the pot is silicone, it makes cleaning it a breeze. The bottom plate distributes the heat very well so it has worked nicely when cooking noodles or boiling fish when we used it. MAKE SURE you know how to use metal/silicone pots!!! You cannot just throw these into a fire like any other pot. You set it to where the flames only hit the bottom of the pot and you are golden. It heats up water very fast and we have had no form of leaking whatsoever. For the price it is an awesome piece of kit!!!
