Adjustable heel strap comes off quite easily while snorkeling I found. The rest of the flippers seems to be well made, flexible and tough which is a positive for a beginner.

This was for my wife for something lighter and she loves them. Light and fast.

These are a good quality pair of fins with an adjustable heel strap, allowing them to fit a range of sizes. They just fit me, at the top of the size range (39-41), but they are for my grandson who is learning to snorkel and whose feet are almost big enough for the size I received. His feet are size 37 and, with a small pair of neoprene bootees, his feet fitted perfectly and he was off to his snorkelling lesson at the local pool. The best thing is that he will grow into them and be able to use them for a few years, as his feet grow. They are lovely fins with flexible blades which provide a strong, smooth action.

The foot strapping made from a good quality and comfortable but supportive silicone providing a good level of comfort as well as the durability and strength needed to use these effusively in the water. Having tested these in swimming pool initially I must say they are well made and exactly what you need, I will later in the year test these out in open water no doubt, but can't see any issues.
