I wish I had got one ages ago, after trying to sand down layers of gloss, creating tonnes of dust, and wearing through so many disks, this has been a god send!! much quicker and easier, and less messy.It has 5 settings, high and low speed air flow, I used the concentrator nozzle for getting in the corners and difficult areas, and the high air flow for more lumpy and thicker built up gloss and runs. The scraper isn’t sharp, so I used another one, but still ok if you want to sharpen it up. The scraper attachment is a bit useless as well, but for the money, and the effectiveness it’s not a problem.The heat gun is light, and I first I thought it felt cheap and flimsy, however after a few hours of stripping, I really appreciated the light body and ease of use, if it was heavy, I wouldn’t have been able to do as much.I have used this for a couple of hours at a time, without it stopping or over heating, successfully using all the settings.Over all, I’m very pleased with my purchase, and would recommend for any mums trying to do some DIY and save a few quid, leaves a nice bare wood finish, instead of lumpy runny gloss. ;)
