I do precise fitting of attic ladders, and could not manage without these Bahco handsaws. Remarkable teeth cut straight, and only a handsaw suits all constraints. A 16" saw works best in 16" oc framing. I need saws sharp and new, but must also gently work through lath and plaster, and that finally kills an older saw. They can't be sharpened successfully, not knowing the magic of the factory tooth construction. Despite the hard demands, each saw serves one worker about six months.Amazon is now part of the story, picking up where the only hardware store in my city selling these, dropped them in favor of inferior Stanley saws. I wish every neighborhood hardware store could inform of best options that exceed their display space, and participate in online sales, for many wonderful, better tools and hardware items. Things not offered cheaply in big-box stores, including all of the many wonderful things I have not yet discovered. Don't settle for cheap things that don't work and don't last.

I have the full length version of this saw as well. Both came very sharp and ready to work out of the box. This saw has a slightly thicker blade than most handsaws, making it easier to keep your cuts straight and aligned. It can be resharpened (by a qualified person), making it a good long-term purchase for any carpentry enthusiast.

Die Bahco habe ich bei einem Kollegen getestet - und mir gleich eine gekauft.Trotz der feinen Zahnung ist der Sägefortschritt enorm. Ich habe bislangnur Paletten(bretter) und Ähnliches gesägt, also recht trockenes Holz. Dafür ist sieperfekt; präzise und gerade Schnitte sind auch bei breiten Brettern kein Prpblem.Das etwas dickere Blatt macht sich hier bestimmt positiv bemerkbar. Die Beschichtungnutzt sich im Bereich der Zahnung recht schnell ab, das macht das Sägen aber noch etwaseinfacher bzw. schneller, da die Zähne nicht mehr mit der Beschichtung zugekleistert sind.Sonst ist die Beschichtung erstaunlich haltbar; natürlich zerkratzt, aber intakt.Die Säge ist wie gewünscht handlich kurz und der Griff für meine Begriffe sehr gut.Wie gesagt, bei den bisherigen Materialien ein top Gerät, kann ich wirklich empfehlen.Wer anderes Material bzw. größere Stücke sägt, sollte sich mal die Varianten ansehen.
