Toen Slash de eer kreeg om een Gibson Les Paul Signature-model te laten bouwen, stuurden we dezelfde Alnico 2 Pro-humbuckers die hij tientallen jaren gebruikte. Het bleek dat de nieuwe gitaren merkbaar anders klinken dan het origineel. Dus gingen we de uitdaging aan om hem een nieuwe pick-up te maken waardoor al zijn nieuwe signature gitaren precies zo klonken als de originele AFD Les Paul. Het resultaat is de Slash Signature Model Humbucker. We gebruikten een andere magdraad en wikkelspecificatie die, in combinatie met de Alnico 2 Bar-magneet, precies gaf wat nodig was om een stok Les Paul naar de bekende sustain, crunch en midrange te duwen die zo kenmerkend was voor de toon van Slash"s originele Derrig Les Paul-exemplaar. De Slash Humbucker Set is met de hand gebouwd in Santa Barbara op dezelfde manier als we zijn originelen in de jaren '80 hebben gebouwd, met een nikkelzilveren basisplaat met lange montagepoten, gevlochten enkeladerige looddraad, esdoorn afstandhouders, papieren tape en waspakket.

He sustituido las Gibson 57 classic y classic plus que tenía en mi Les Paul por estas SD Slash Pro y la verdad es que el cambio ha sido muy bueno.Las 57 están bien pero yo las veo más en un SG, en parte porque la tapa de estas atenúa mucho, que en una Les Paul. Con las nuevas la guitarra ha ganado en definición, dulzura, salida y potencia. Y no solo son para tocar sonidos "Slash", en Blues y Rock clásico en general se salen. Estoy encantado con ellas.Pastillazas, el único pero que les puedo poner es que al ser de 2 hilos no se puede hacer Coil, Split con ellas.

Questi pickup sono stratosferici, suonano proprio come Slash ma ci sono alcune premesse da fare. Nessuno amplificatore o testata + cassa vi faranno raggiungere il reale suono di Slash. Da anni cerco l'accoppiata perfetta ma non esiste a meno che non siate disposti a spendere cifre incredibilmente alte per acquistare la versione Marshall AFD100 Slash e una serie infinita di pedali per fare prove e controprove. Anche una testata JCM 800 moddata su specifiche della testata #34 fungerà, ma si può solamente noleggiare e nemmeno in Italia.Per fortuna l'impulse response di questo ampli è presente nel pacchetto Slash di Amplitube, questo è per ora il miglior suono che sia mai riuscito ad ottenere da questi pickup, fedele a quello di Slash al 95%. Sembra di suonare nell'album Appetite for Destruction.Quindi chiudo dicendo che questi pickup sono ciò che ci vuole per imitare Slash ma se non avere l'amplificazione adatta, il semplice cambio pickup non vi farà sembrare Slash.

I bought these to replace the Seymour Duncan Vintage '59s in a mahogany bodied LP style guitar with a 3/4" maple cap, thru-body neck and ebony fretboard - a very bright guitar!The '59's were too bright with their Alnico 5 magnets, so I picked a pup set with Alnico 2 magnets (for less treble) and a little extra on the windings to improve the output.These have transformed the guitar tone and I can't recommend them highly enough - but remember; guitar tone is a very personal thing, otherwise we'd all be playing the same cloned guitar...

Don,t mistake these for the Slash 2.0 that he uses live. Ordered by mistake. Return was no problem. Sellar is excellant and have purchased many items from them.
