I bought this set to put in my Fender Jaguar Blacktop as the stock pickups sounded quite muddy and dull and didn't really suit the type of music that I wanted to play. In comparison, these sound a lot brighter yet still quite warm.The pickups come with a single wiring diagram which shows you how to hook them up. This is fine if you've got a standard Les Paul wiring, but for anything else (like my Fender, which has a single tone and volume control) then you'll need to get another one. This isn't a problem as the Seymour Duncan website is fantastic and all you need to do is enter your desired configuration on the website and it'll produce a suitable wiring diagram. I went for having two volume controls in the end.A word of warning however - quite often SD pickups come with multiple wires coming out of them and the wiring diagrams show how to wire these up. The APH-2s are only single conductor and only have one braided wire coming from them. This makes the wiring simpler, although you do need to solder the wire braid to the metal casing of your pots, which will require patience and a good quality soldering iron and solder. As a consequence of having a single conductor, you can't have some fancy configurations like coil tapping with push/pull pots.This set makes a great upgrade and I'm really happy with my new sound. It makes a fantastic weekend project for anyone looking to make their guitar a little more personal, and even a first-timer won't have much difficulty installing them.

Che dire questi pick up parlano da soli, li ho scartati e montati su una les paul di tipo economica, potete capire la qualità dei legni ma nonostante questo i pick up Slash signature sono ottimi e inimitabili, Seymour Duncan da sempre costruisce degli ottimi pick up e sono una garanzia. Il suono sul canale pulito è bilanciato e tende a spingere le medie e alte frequenze sia sul bridge che sul neck, ha un ottimo sustain, quando si passa al canale distorto oltre alle caratteristiche già descritte si aggiunge il feedback con l'amplificatore. Tutte le caratteristiche descritte dipendono molto dal magnete che esercita un basso potere coercitivo,l'alnico II, la resistenza di ogni singola bobina, l'impedenza di ciascun pick up e il tipologia di assemblaggio di ogni singolo elemento del pick up. Questi tipi di pick up li consiglio non solo per chi vuole fare rock ma anche per altri generi musicali. Il pacco è arrivato in largo anticipo, tre giorni prima, ben imballato. All'interno della scatola ci sono le istruzioni per il montaggio con le viti e le molle, l'assemblaggio si fa in 15 minuti. Sono molto soddisfatto. ;-)

These pickups are loud and gainey if that is what you are looking for they are for you

Beautiful sounds created from this set, it's just perfect for every thing from metal to jazz, fast paced riffs and face melting solos. This set was made for the most fun you'll ever have playing a guitar. I'm extremely impressed by the neck pickup, deep fat chunky sound and sustained notes that feel like a giant block of beautiful aged Swiss, just an all around great set, I'd recommend them to anyone that loves to jam out hard and actually have fun playing the guitar.
