Unfortunately, Honda small engine gasoline tanks tend to rust out. Also, when left empty they tend to rust completely. This is my problem. A pressure washer with a rusted tank and a frozen pump. The engine has very little use and with a new pump and gasoline tank and a little carburetor work I should have an as good as new pressure washer. The tank is a perfect replacement and with a new fuel line and filter, then cleaning and adjusting the carburetor, the engine started easily and runs like new. Unfortunately, this tank is unavailable at present, but it works as a replacement on small Honda gasoline engines.

So I used this to replace the tank on a generator. This tank is much smaller than the original tank I am replacing. My best guess is this holds about 2 liters or 1/2 gallon. The tank is metal and looks like other tanks I've seen on outdoor equipment. Feels well made. The fuel spout looks like it's nylon and looks like it'd fit a 1/4 inch line. I put the spout in almost as tight as I could using my fingers and there are no leaks. Being nylon I didn't want to torque on it with a wrench. My last tank was destroyed by Ethanol infused gas that sat in it for a couple months, so going to this smaller tank actually helps me because I'll just run the generator until it's empty. I need it for outages here in FL and for my parade float so I don't really need the original 1.8 gallon tank with 9 hours of run time. I estimate that 2 liters would give me 2.6 hours of run time which is a good duration and won't be too crazy to run till empty. This tank has a solid interior wall and an exterior shell so the interior is protected. The furthest outside dimensions (excluding the two bolts) are 9 and 3/8 wide by 8 and 1/2 long by 5 high.
