Shadow's SH 951 is niet alleen bij Rockabilly-contrabassisten tot een legendarische geworden. Contrasterende bassisten uit de hele wereld waarderen en spelen deze tonkopers al decennia. De kleiverwijderaar heeft twee tegenovergestelde sensoren en wordt tussen vleugels en voetvoet gemonteerd. Daardoor wordt zowel het geluid van de snaren als het instrument opgenomen en ontstaat er een zuiver akoestisch en natuurlijk warm geluid. Ook verkrijgbaar als dubbele pick-up (SH 950).

Strangely this pickup shows up under brand "chess tools" for me. I was afraid it would be a fake, but it is a Shadow pickup.Installation is a pain, I had to take a lot off the bridge of my new bass which made me nervous. I went slow and took several hours. Once installed, the sound is really good. It does, of course, sound like a piezo, but I'm blending with a good mic, so this adds a bit of bottom to the mics nice air sound.I don't think anyone would need the Shadow with two elements, this picks up high and lows just fine.

Utilizzo questo piezo con un contrabbasso, devo dire che la risposta è molto precisa e, se utilizzato con un buon amplificatore, anche il suono risulta molto profondo.Utilissimo in occasioni live all'aperto.Consigliato.
