A perfect travelling companion providing surprisingly good sound quality by Bluetooth or by lead.The LDAC setting works brilliantly with my Sony WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling headphones and the aptX even better with my Shure BT2 connector and SE535s. They both sound very slightly better plugged in but the improvement is not noticeable when travelling so my comments are mainly based on Bluetooth use.The audio balance and detail is very satisfactory with either of the 'phones mentioned. Slightly bright with the Shure SE535s and slightly soft with the Sony WH-1000XM3 which is as good as can be expected from a budget DAP, especially one as small as this. It also means that Shanling have set a pretty neutral balance. The audio shortcomings of the M0-Pro never annoy or intrude and if you are not used to high-end HiFi you are unlikely to find any fault at all.The DAPs I have been using recently for travel are a Fiio M7 and a Sansa Clip Zip. The M0-Pro is easily better than the venerable ClipZip, slightly better than the excellent Fiio M7 (in terms of detail retrieval) and noticeably better than my iPhone 12. The tiny size makes it very easy tuck away somewhere. It is light enough that you may forget it is in your pocket.Battery life was ample for a recent trip to New Zealand. It didn't drop below 50% on either journey. It charges quickly and can be used whilst charging which gives plenty of flexibility.The tiny size is the main reason I bought this but the downside is the slightly awkward user interface; Sansa got that right many years ago with the ClipZip. The M0-Pro isn't too bad but it could be better. I nearly docked one star for the user-interface but it is so good at everything else that it felt churlish to do so and I don't want to put people off this excellent device by making it sound a serious flaw - it is not.Annoyingly, I have not yet learned how to make it carry on from where I left off - maybe it can't?Value for money - the M0-Pro is fantastic. You are most unlikely to be disappointed. If you are on a budget, it would sound perfectly acceptable played through a moderate hifi system. A GOOD hifi system may well expose it's flaws but the M0-Pro sounds better than many CD players and would be fine as a main source in a budget and mid-range system.I recommend getting a RED version. I got a black one but kept losing sight of it in the 6 recent flights so I have now bought a red leather case so it is easier to spot.

Ero curioso di provare questo piccolo dispositivo e di metterlo alla prova. Ho caricato la mia musica su Micro sd, tutta in formato Flac ad alto bitrate. Che dire, non va mai in crisi, io utilizzo cuffie Sony wh-1000xm5 e il codec Ldac è perfettamente gestito. La batteria mi pare sufficiente, ma mi riservo di aggiornare la recensione con un utilizzo più intensivo.Buono il touch screen. Ho letto commenti negativi, ma bisogna saperlo usare, anzi, prima bisogna saper leggere le istruzioni. Il movimento del dito deve partire dal centro del display verso le varie direzioni, e non dall'estremità dello stesso. Non come si fa col cellulare, per intenderci. In questo modo la risposta è soddisfacente, senza lag o impuntamenti.Venendo alla qualità audio, il dac Sabre e l'equalizzazione personalizzabile rendono molto piacevole l'ascolto. Audio cristallino, pulito, ben spaziato. In rapporto al prezzo, si fa un salto rispetto ai lettori che gestiscono i "vecchi" mp3, ma dipende sempre dalle proprie esigenze e gusti. Provengo da un walkman Sony Nw-a105, con cui ascoltavo i medesimi files e musica da Tidal, e francamente non trovo mancanze rispetto a tale esperienza. Ok, qui manca la possibilità di gestire Tidal, ma ben diversa è la portabilità e la praticità rispetto ad altri dispositivi più grandi.Segnalo altre chicche, come la possibilità di ricevere musica, oltre che trasmettere, o ancora di pilotarlo da smartphone, di usarlo come Dac per pc o mac. E ancora: la modalità automobile, che fa sì che si accenda o si spenga a seconda di quando rilevi alimentazione. Eccellente il funzionamento della rotellina, sia per quanto riguarda il volume, che per la possibilità di decidere quale comando assegnare al doppio o triplo clic.Schermo piccolo, sì, ma molto pratico: si può scrollare la propria musica a seconda di come è classificata (per artista, per genere, per album), oppure selezionare le proprie cartelle, se come me si è un po' "impediti" nella gestione degli id-tag.Sparisce in un taschino e il gioco è fatto. Ero dubbioso, essendo un prodotto cinese, ma non esistono alternative sul mercato, per quanto riguarda dap così minuscoli, e come detto la componentistica audio è eccellente e presente in altri dispositivi simili anche di marche blasonate. Per me promossissimo a pieni voti!

I purchased this Shanling M0pro for an alternative use with my phone. The build quality, the design and sound signature are awesome. But to be honest, I’m having a kinda sad experience with it. It keeps showing a « playback error » message or « file not supported ». I tried many different file formats. It manages to play some mp3 files but the others just don’t play or they start playing but stop at a certain level. I just don’t understand that for a high quality DAP that is supposed to support many file formats.
