If you are a developer or maker, this is **brilliant**. Documentation is so clear, everything is configurable, everything is documented. You can make a WiFi extender out of this plug just by a single click in UI. You can do everything with REST requests. This is heaven, Shelly devs, I love you!

Not a lot to write. It's affordable and it just works, if you know how these plugs work they're a breeze to set up. Just update the firmware to the latest version, connect them to the wifi, and let Home Assistant do the rest. I have nine around the house for monitoring and switching. The oldest are now a year or two old and I've never had one fail.

Ik had al zo’n plug eerder besteld en wist wat het was.Als je geen ervaring hebt met het installeren via wifi kan het even moeite kosten. Maar werkt het eenmaal dan is het een prima ding.Je kan dan van alles instellen!Chris

Its working as it should but the led ring was sort of broken. Gloeing red dimmed light all the time. Thing is brand new, so they need better quality control.

I wanted this for the power monitoring feature, but it would not pair with the app.It was very frustrating.It did eventually pair just by hitting the re-try button over and over again which toom more then an hour.Even though it is paired it dos not actually show up in the app home page which is very confusing. you have to add a widget to the home screen to be able to turn the device on and off.It just not user friendly and was close to being retuned

The new v2 version of this plug is completely sealed. It is not possible to open this device without breaking it. Flashing Shelly --> tasmota --> esphome makes this device impossible to use OTA. So this device is unusable for esphome!

This works locally and has the option to work with the cloud and the Shelly app. I have restricted it to local only. It just works. No problems so far.

J'ai pu setup la prise sans avoir à installer une app sur mon téléphone, sans avoir non plus à passer par un service web. La prise fournit un access point, et peut être contrôlée ainsi si on le souhaite, sans même avoir à la faire rejoindre le réseau local. Ensuite, je l'ai configurée pour se connecter à mon réseau local, j'ai pu lui assigner une IP statique directement depuis son interface de configuration, et maintenant, je peux l'allumer où l'éteindre depuis n'importe quelle autre machine sur le réseau local simplement en faisant une requête HTTP avec curl. Enfin un objet IoT qui me respecte.

Hier mein Eindruck zur Shelly Plus Plug S, einer WLAN-Steckdose zur Fernsteuerung elektrischer Geräte.Einrichtung & Bedienung---------------------------------------------------Die Einrichtung war unkompliziert:- Shelly Cloud-App herunterladen- Steckdose mit WLAN verbinden- Konfiguration in der App abschließenDie App ist intuitiv zu bedienen und wurde über die Jahre stetig weiterentwickelt. So lässt sie kaum Wünsche übrig. Obwohl sie so gut ist, verwende ich jedoch Home Asisstent zur Steuerung.Funktionalität & Smart Home Integration---------------------------------------------------Die kompakte Bauweise ist ein Pluspunkt, da sie problemlos hinter Möbeln oder in engen Räumen platziert werden kann. Die Steuerung über die App, Google Home und Home Assistant funktioniert einwandfrei. Ich nutze den Plug z.B., um meinen Zimmerbrunnen per Sprachbefehl oder über Home Assistant-Automationen zu steuern. Entgegen so mancher Aussage hier, ist das sehr wohl möglich, da ich es bereits seit 7 Jahren erfolgreich mache.Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die integrierte Verbrauchsmessung.
