Winkelwagen is nog leeg.De Thunnus (Latijn voor ''tonijn'') is gebouwd voor elke zoutwatervisserij en biedt uitzonderlijke sterkte en gladheid en extra duurzaamheid met zijn aluminium behuizing en rotor. Het constructieontwerp houdt de tandwielen uitgelijnd voor zorgeloze en langdurige prestaties. Het meest onderscheidende kenmerk van de Thunnus is de gepatenteerde baitrunner-functie die fungeert als een secundair sleepsysteem. Met deze functie kan een visser de lijn uitvoeren in een spanningsgestuurde vrije spoel met de borgtocht gesloten, waardoor de haak gemakkelijker kan worden ingesteld en een van de beste systemen blijkt te zijn om levend aas te vissen. Andere kenmerken van de Thunnus zijn een waterdicht sleepsysteem om zout water en vuil buiten te houden; precisie gesneden tandwielen voor een soepele en krachtige retrieve; een eenrichtingsrollager om nul handvat backplay te bieden en een kogellagerlijn roller gecoat met titanium voor meer gladheid en verminderde lijndraai.

This is by far the best spinner kayak live bait fishing for ocean fishing. The dual drag system allows for you to adjust the drag for the live bait and the strike. It's hard to use preset drag setting's for live bait because; 1. the live bait maybe be large or small thus the setting needs to be adjustable, and this reel lets you do just that; 2. when trolling the tension has to be adjusted according to the drag the bait is putting on the reel. Hence the dual drag does this because you can adjust it after sending the bait out. The drag can be finetuned to the bait on the fly. I don't believe there is another spinning reel maker that has a reel that can do this. The closest I have heard about is the conventional lever drag reels that Avet are making with a magnetic brake: and hopefully I'll be trying that reel out soon.

‘The reel arrived with the box wrapped in bubble wrap so very well protected for shipping. The reel is balanced and reasonably lightweight. It’s on a Penn Carnage II 10’ and spooled with 50# braid. Using 2 ounces of weight practice casting I averaged 260 feet with out any issues. i will be put to the test in early May in the Florida panhandle waters so more to come.

After receiving the reel. I noticed the gear train was gritty. Thinking it because it was new. I spun the reel for a few minutes. The gritty feeling became a skip in the gear teeth. Spinning it a little more and the reel locks up tight. This isn't the only Shimano spinning reel I have. This reel showed up in what looked like a previously opened box. With a vibe that it had been a return and sold again. With the seller having to asked when the refund was going to occur after 7 days had passed. From the received date of the reverse tracking.Never again with the store that sold it to me.

I was deciding this or the Shimano Baitrunner and super glad i went with this one. I paired this up with the tsunami airwave and it is by far the best rod and reel combo i have ever owned. The Thunnus is super smooth in casting and reeling. Caught my first salmon on this and it was a smooth and fun fight all the way through.
